Trump's already done numerous unthinkable things, so the answer to the question "would Trump do the unthinkable" must necessarily be "yes."

Would Trump go to war with North Korea? IMO, he's far more likely to go to war against North Korea rather than with it. As for whether he would indeed go to war against the DPRK, I don't know.

Last night I heard that Trump's "fire and fury" remark preceded KJU's threat against Guam. I haven't been able to confirm which remark indeed came first. What is clear is that Trump said the following:

North Korea best not make any more threats to the United States. They will be met with fire, fury and frankly power, the likes of which this world has never seen before.​

As far as I know, KJU called Trump's bluff (?) and mere hours later issued his threat against Guam. So far, Trump hasn't done anything.

Were it so that Trump had a track record of making truthful statements, one might know, or at least plausibly posit, what he will or won't do. Indeed, in terms of credibility, it doesn't take much to tell that KJU does indeed do what he says he'll do. The same cannot, with comparable reliability, be said of Trump.

Be that as it may, KUJ has averred that he will develop his country's nuclear war waging capability, and despite all objections to his doing so, that is precisely what he's done.

Quite simply, if the U.S. (or anyone), in order to terminate his nuclear fighting capability, were going to engage against KJU in a war, the best time to do so was be before he had any means to wage such a war, in other words, preemptively.
