Would you stuff a nail gun down your pants?

Where I work you have to be trained and certified to run a crane or forklift. Yet we let people with zero training buy weapons that can kill at several hundred yards. You leave a powersaw out and a neighbors kids starts it and hurts himself, you will lose a hell of a lawsuit. You leave you gun out, and your kid takes it and kills another kid, well, that's just too bad. And every one of you idiots will defend the criminal carelessness of the person that left that gun where the child could get it.

The union job you lean on a shovel for requires you to be trained to run a forklift - but you are free to go BUY a forklift with no training at all.

What if you leave the keys in the forklift and your kid takes in a kills another? Background checks on all forklift sales - you fucking moron - it's a must - think of the children! (that you missed your chance aborting.)

The Facts

The New York Times is reporting a four decade decline in gun ownership in the home, based on 2012 General Social Survey data released last Thursday.

A few things, the democratic party is not a reliable source.

{The nation’s total violent crime rate hit an all-time high in 1991. Thereafter, it declined 18 of the next 20 years, 49 percent overall, to a 41-year low in 2011. That included a 52 percent decrease in the nation’s murder rate, to a 48-year low, nearly the lowest point in U.S. history. The FBI has preliminarily reported that in the first half of 2012, the murder rate dropped another 2.7 percent.1

Concurrently, gun ownership2 and the number of privately owned guns rose to all-time highs, the number of privately owned firearms in the U.S. rising by over 120 million, including about 55 million handguns, about 80 percent of which were semi-automatic.3 The 120 million new firearms included over 3.5 million AR-15 semi-automatic rifles and tens of millions of other firearms that gun control supporters call “assault weapons,”}

Notice the DNC (through their NYT propaganda wing) claims that HOUSEHOLDS with guns declined, even the dishonest fucks at the Times are not willing to get nailed on the lie that gun ownership is declining.

The share of American households with guns has declined over the past four decades, with some of the most surprising drops in the South and the Western mountain states, where guns are deeply embedded in the culture.

The GSS survey indicates that the household gun ownership rate has fallen from an average of 50 percent in the 1970s to 49 percent in the 1980s, 43 percent in the 1990s and 35 percent in the 2000s. In 2012, the share of American households with guns was 34 percent.

The New York Times admitted that their claim of declining guns in households is false, and blames Slate for feeding them false information. So the Times uses a whackjob leftist hate site as a source? :eek:

About GUNFAQ

The role of firearms in a modern society is a polarizing topic.

GUNFAQ believes in the Second Amendment and the Constitutional right to bear arms. We also believe, as do most responsible gun owners, that this right also comes with an equal, if not greater responsibility.

GUNFAQ’s aim to provide the facts, with references, and with as little bias as possible.

unhinged 2008 is the source for Unparalleled bias and paranoia.
