Yes, Bernie wants "free shit". Let's add it to the list of other "free shit"

While some claim that Obama has failed in his presidency, the fact is we'll look back and see that his presidency did indeed begin the "fundamental change" he promised.

Possibly the biggest change is the way the hard Left shed its inhibitions about defending, supporting and even promoting more and more aspects of socialism.

Personally, I think the turning point was the reaction to Obama's stunning "you didn't build that" speech. That's when Liz Warren started simplistically talking about "roads & bridges" and applied it to private industry.

Once an issue gets dumbed down and bumper-stickerized like that, the argument is won.
.
Oh, aye? What changed?
Perhaps you could be a little more specific.
.
For example, Obama can not boast of Guantanamo is still running.
What about health care? The basic idea was to make it affordable for the low earner. Is it now affordable?
Of course, Obama made a whole bunch of promises.

Police, fire, public schools, military protection, highways etc.

Face it: America has always already embraced socialism. No nation on earth bedsides can function without socialism. Without it, you have places like Somalia. I don't understand why RWs struggle with this so much. Anything funded by tax payers is socialism. Period.

Another far left drone failed thread!

See even the far left does not understand what the definition of socialism is, much less the definition of the word "is"..

So far left drone when are you going to give all your money to the government so they can tell you what you are worth?
So why do you still use the government services I listed?

Because I paid for em......unlike the half of us that dont pay shit.
Blame republicans for refusing to raise the minimum wage.

Blame the morons who arent smart enough to get a good job after years of liberal schooling.
Blame liberals for encouraging and supporting illegals that flood our job market and depress wages.
Blame liberals for making it damn near impossible to open small businesses because of all the taxes and regulations.
I could go on forever but you're not smart enough to see the damage done by liberal policies so I wont waste my time.

yep, and blame the people for listening to such dishonest stuff like what's coming from the op. but they don't care if they mislead the people

I believe the goal was to get everybody insured, institute regulations for fair coverage, and to make it more affordable. They got two and now need some serious work to get the third done. Perhaps if all the wingnuts would stop bitching and obstructing, put their heads together and do their jobs then we can make some progress on that front. Saying they want to rip it to shreads isn't helping things and is a stupid suggestion. How about they propose ways to fix the problems and make it more affordable?

Well it seems another uninformed far left drones chimes in and claims Obamacare is the best tax yet on Americans..

And they have proposed, just you far left drones are incapable of hearing anything other than your religious dogma!

The goal has a huge obstacle: Many of those who were not insured or "under-insured" simply wanted to save their money. So, when the insurance does not earn enough from the "rich", it cannot provide enough for the "poor". Obama had to make a balancing act between "insurance propaganda" and an "insurance regime".

The fact there are certain things the government is responsible for and need tax dollars to pay for is not and never has been in doubt. The problem with Sanders and others like him is they think everything a person wants but can't provide for themselves the government is supposed to do it for them.

It all exists on a continuum. The big mistake the current Right has made is in its absolutism - inferring, even saying, that all government is bad.

That has very helpfully allowed the Left to point at government services that most people want and say, "see, they're wrong."

The current Right is as responsible for any move to the Left as anyone else.

They say more government is bad or large bloated government is bad, not all..

But all the government programs show that government is it's own worst enemy!

Politics is mostly image, and the image of conservatism right now is that it is anti-government.

That's fine, but the other side of the spectrum is making its case, too.

I think there is plenty of money in insurance... We need to open the markets up so competition and drive prices down and institute more incentives to get to where we need to go. This thread isn't about Obama care so I won't get too deep, but there are solutions out there if we can stop all the petty bickering

How can it be "anti" government wanting to control the border?

How can it be "anti" government wanting to change the tax system?

Yes the only solution from the far left is "single" payer..
