The difference being, that at the time Florida brought these charges they KNEW they were false. During the course of the trial, the state withheld exculpatory evidence and fabricated inculpatory evidence.

Now back to the NBC case. NBC is screwed here and they know it. That's why they rid themselves of the three.

I really don't think it will count in their favor though. Basically they admitted guilt.

On the morning show, NBC spliced together two lines spoken by Zimmerman as he talked to a 911 operator to report Trayvon Martin as a suspicious character wandering his neighborhood.

On the NBC version of the call, Zimmerman is heard to say: “This guy looks like he’s up to no good. He looks black.”

Oh this is gonna be good. Even Dershowitz of all people came out big time and said this prosecution was political.
