Do you know why this was set up? SPECIALLY to assist POOR BLACK criminal defendants that don't have the cash to pay from DNA test, expert witness, etc. That was the legislative intent of the FL law. Take that away and the VAST majority of innocent (stress innocent, because most defendants are in fact guilty) black defendants on trial will NOT be able to get a DNA test nor pay for expert testimony and will end up in jail or on death row!!! But expert witness, test, expert witnesses, travel, depositions, photocopies, videos, and the any costs shelled out by the attorneys to run the defenses, but it does NOT include the attorney's fees, in this case it was $100K of the $300K!
