We never made the claim that we could stop mass murders. We accept that in a country of 315 million people, there are bound to be crazies who can get their hands on firearms, pipe bombs, rental trucks and so on.

Our suggestion is that to help reduce or stop these crimes, we need more guns; more teachers trained and armed, more armed security. Those measures do have positive effects.

But the numbers of firearms privately owned in the US is increasing and there is no drop off in the rates of school shootings. Those are increasing from what I see. Your suggestion has shown itself to be invalid.

You can have twice as many guns in the US as we have today. But it doesn't matter in Gun Free Zones you leftists love so much. We keep pointing out over and over that gun free zones is where most mass killings take place, but you on the left insist that has nothing to do with it.

The last school shooting was not in a gun free zone - there were armed personnel there. Didn’t make a difference did it?

Is this a new development? To my knowledge, the security there was not armed.

The reason I ask is that I don't think for one minute the anti-gunners really believe any of their demands would stop mass murders, or even reduce them. It's just something to complain about because we are against their suggestions.

Why have laws against having hand grenades, criminals have them in large numbers anyway. No actually they don't, because they are heavily regulated and laws are very strict on having them.

To cons it's just another inanimate object so why regulate hand grenades. They think people don't like them because they are 'scary looking'.

You want to remain significantly safer? Don't drive, or ride in a motor vehicle.

Then why did you bring up race in the first place? Race was not part of the OP.

When we look at history, we have to examine what changed. Here are some things I've noticed:

Taking God out of school and the belief that once you die, everything just turns to black and you no longer exist.

Sensationalizing school shooters and making them famous.

Social media. Bullies have always been around and always will be. We had strange kids and bullies when I was a kid. However all you had to deal with was the bully and perhaps some kiss ass friends. Today, if a popular bully targets you, hundreds of other kids chime in on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and the victim believes everybody in the world hates him. So if he decides to kill people, it doesn't matter who he kills.

The inability to deal with rejection. Many kids these days have been shielded from rejection, however rejection is something most everybody is going to have to deal with one time or another. Years ago a parent would whack you in the ass in front of everybody at the store, and you sat there embarrassed crying your eyes out. You dealt with bullies. When you failed a subject or class, nobody catered to you. If you lost a game in sports, you have to deal with it.

We are raising egg shells today. And granted, most everybody learns to eventually deal with rejection. But some cannot. So they grab a gun and kill everybody and anybody. Why do you suppose these school shootings mostly happen in affluent areas and not ghetto schools? Because lower income children learn to deal with rejection from young on the way all of us used to.
