Some call it a Corporate Oligarchy. There's many names. But it essentially boils down to the same thing every time - a one-party system.

America has a one-party system - The Times-Gazette - Hillsboro, OH

Uh...as evidence there is no difference between Democrats and Republicans, the guy used McCain to represent the GOP?

Oh, I see! It's a 2008 article.

I had to check and make sure this was not another one of those bumps of really old topics by Shaman.

Yeah. The parties are identical. They both are pro-life, pro-gun, anti-immigrant, hate fags and Muslims, and want to cut taxes. That's why the sequester went into effect. Because they are so in harmony with each other.

you are exactly right- they both "feed at the troth" & shower jobs on a select few when their turn at the troth comes around. As long as there is no public financing of campaigns or reform of revolving-door employment (same goes for military brass retiring into def contractor *cough* "jobs" (essentially figureheads to steer money to their corporate paymasters :) ), it will remain so. :(

No, they are NOT identical in their wedge-issue talking points use to make people "think" they give a shit. They're NOT identical in their lies and rhetoric. But in DEED, they're attached by the same corporate hip. So if you can't see through their lies and bullshit, sure, you'd think there's a difference. It's all lies.

What are the primary corporate affiliations of the parties?

Nutballs favor manly corporations:
1. MIC - armchair warrioring among men seems to fill the same need as big pickup trucks do for diminutive women.
2. Finance - nothing like firing up white trash on the idea they too might hit the lottery
3. Papist horseshit - Life begins with a twinkle in the eye, God personally picks the rich, and nutball gals aren't endorsing multiculturalism on weekends.

Human potential enthusiasts seem to favor social parasite corporations
1. Insurance industry - who among us doesn't want to buy insurance we don't need?
2. Education industry - who among us can resist intimidation of our children by strong arm unions?
3. Miscellaneous human potential horseshit - who among us would deny someone too smart to work a place at our table?
