And Yet, They're Still Here

It is always the case. Young people with essentially zero life experience find communism or socialism to be intellectually "interesting." Once they get a bit of real life experience - mainly they have to work to support themselves for a few years, and have to pay taxes, then they start to realize why socialism sucks, as a practical matter.

And then, of course, you have the people who NEVER have had to work for a living (political figures, bureaucrats, academicians, entertainers and such), and they go through life not understanding why so many people don't see how wonderful socialism would be.

While in some areas changes take place over time, in this area it is always the same: young people are economic idiots.
 
Venezuela is a perfect example of the greatness of socialism. I think all millennials should do a pilgrimage there and participate. Wont take long till they have their enlightenment.
