Biden: Food Shortages "gonna be real."

Can you be a bit more specific?

Please expound on this.

The oil that comes out of the ground in teh US does not belong to the country, it belongs to the multinational companies that extract it who then sell it on a global marketplace. The "progs" (whoever the fuck that is) has nothing to do with it.

The " inept prog admin" has no power at all on who the farmers sell their wheat to other than to ban them from selling it to specific countries. Other than that it is the companies that buy the grain from the farmers the decide where it goes.

The oil in the ground belongs to whoever owns the mineral rights. The progressive administration, by , as Obama put it, a flick of the pen, could unilaterally change that. Legal or not, fight it out in court.

Ban them from selling to specific countries? USA? How about heavily restrict sales here?

You mean nationalize the US oil companies?

While both are fictional characters that you believe in, the former is a far more realistic representation of our world
Fictional beings, but not fictional in character, otherwise yes they possess character/attributes in which the writer's drew from the very real character's/attributes that are exhibited in those who realistically harbor such character's or attributes in real lives.

Agree that the Grinch is far more represented today, yet the leftist live in denial of the attribute they possess in which is the very same characteristic that the Grinch projected in the story.

In WWII, the gov't rationed certain things including some food items:

The government began rationing certain foods in May 1942, starting with sugar. Coffee was added to the list that November, followed by meats, fats, canned fish, cheese, and canned milk the following March. Newspapers, home economics classes, and government organizations offered all sorts of tips to help families stretch their ration points and have as much variety in their meals as possible. Propaganda posters urged Americans to plant “victory gardens” and can their own vegetables to help free up more factory-processed foods for use by the military. Restaurants instituted meatless menus on certain days to help conserve the nation’s meat supply, and advertisers offered up recipes for meatless dinners like walnut cheese patties and creamed eggs over pancakes. Macaroni and cheese became a nationwide sensation because it was cheap, filling, and required very few ration points. Kraft sold some 50 million boxes of its macaroni and cheese product during the war.

It isn't just the Ukraine war, it's also droughts and other weather phenomena, and higher energy prices. Here in the US we are going to pay a price for the democrats' war on fossil fuels. And on top of that, what happens if there is another coronavirus epidemic? Can't happen? Really?

It isn't just the Ukraine war, it's also droughts and other weather phenomena, continuing supply chain problems, and higher energy prices. Here in the US we are going to pay a price for the democrats' war on fossil fuels. And on top of that, what happens if there is another coronavirus epidemic? Can't happen? Really?

As usual, more hand wringing from those on the right. Is there no issue too small for you to flip your lid over? It's just endless whining.

Considering that Russia has banned exports of fertilizer to the USA Dementia Joe might be right on this one.

Russia may have priced their fertilizer a bit lower than what our domestic ferts sell for

But we have all the fertilizer we need right here in America

So otherwise these former trade partner's know exactly what we lack, and we them, so in situations like these they know where to go in order to hopefully choke us out, and we them ???? Just goes to show as to how damned stupid the nation's had become in all of this world greed, money laundering, and trading quota's that ventured far outside of the safety margins, otherwise creating to much dependency in it all, and therefore giving the possibility of an advantage over to a trade agent in order to get an upper hand in times of war. Not smart, but greed is a blinding thing.

And I believe this also, but what happens when the trade war ends ? It becomes an all out shooting war if a country can't suppress the other through sanctions.
