Going into an election with 24% approval rating is not a good way to start out.

State elections are a much different animal than a national election and the only national election is for president. The congressional approval ratings are pretty meaningless because when people express displeasure with congress, it's all the bums except theirs......and that's the only one they get to vote for and will most likely reelect. Once Obamacare really gets underway and people start realizing the myriad ways they are getting nickeled and dimed to death and have less money in their pocket, it will be the tax and spend Democrats who need to worry. They have set an unsustainable path for the nation and more and more people are waking up to the fact that a government can't spend more than they take in anymore than a person can. The Republicans are going to look very, very smart next November when the American people are screaming for relief.

John Boehner: 'We Just Didn't Win'

House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) said Wednesday that he would not block a bipartisan Senate compromise to reopen the government, paving the way for an end to the two-week government shutdown.

"The House has fought with everything it has to convince the president of the United States to engage in bipartisan negotiations aimed at addressing our country's debt and providing fairness for the American people under Obamacare. That fight will continue," he said in a statement. "But blocking the bipartisan agreement reached today by the members of the Senate will not be a tactic for us. In addition to the risk of default, doing so would open the door for the Democratic majority in Washington to raise taxes again on the American people and undo the spending caps in the 2011 Budget Control Act without replacing them with better spending cuts."

"We fought the good fight, we just didn't win," he told WLW-AM in Cincinnati.

He chose not to stand in the wake of a fart in a hurricane.

It's gonna be the unctuous twerp, Cantor before too long. They already gave him sole authority to put Senate bills up for a vote (in the dark of the night)
