Both Sides of the Gun Debate Need to Listen to This

There is no provision for the state to infringe on the right to keep and bear arms.

The right belongs to the people, to the person, to the individual as all rights do
When your right to a gun infringes on my right to life, the state has a right and duty to intervene.

And to punish him for his actions which infringed on your right, not punish the firearm.

Don't let the door hit you on the way out.
You may disagree with me but this country is my home and I have the right to protect my home and decide how it is run.

But, you don't have the right to infringe on HIS rights to do that.
When his rights conflict with my rights the state does have a right to intervene.

True, but just because you "feel" there is a conflict does not mean one exists. He would have to actively do something to require intervention. Merely exercising his right does not constitute such an infringement.
That is why we have laws and courts.

You punish them when they are caught using them illegally, just like every other item that is dangerous...
Go try and buy some dynamite and let me know how easy it is.
Are you claiming that dynamite is an "arm"?
It can be considered a weapon but more to the point it is and item that is dangerous and access to it is controlled. You don't get to buy dynamite and only face punishment when you are caught using them illegally. You don't get to buy it at all.

It is not an ARM.

So, I feel your posts are infringing on my rights. I should take you to court to stop your exercise of your free speech?

You have that right.

If you are an American adult and don't know what the Constitutional right to keep and bear arms is all about then no amount of words will be sufficient to educate you.
So you don't know either? Can you define an 'arm' or is it like pornography, you know it when you see it?
Yes I do. My 24 AR-15s are all "arms". So is my FAL, two MIAs, AR-10, M-1 Carbine, M-1 Garand and the other couple of dozen firearms I own. Looks like you are the one having a difficult time with it.
Can you provide a definition of 'arms'? You just gave me some examples so I'm thinking I'm right that an 'arm' is subjective and akin to pornography and so cannot be defined.
I know I'm wasting my time, and playing into your trolling game, but arms are weapons and ammunition; armaments.
Knives are weapons too but we both know an 'arm' fires ammunition of some kind. Does the 2nd amendment cover ALL arms? If it doesn't, why or why not?

it does?

Fairly sure that, at the time, swords were considered 'arms'

LOL! Such a suit, like your argument, would be frivolous.

I mentioned that yesterday, but in true troll fashion, he ignored it.

Currently your right to an automatic weapon is infringed. Do you have a problem with that?
It really isn't

all you have to do is get a federal permit and pay an additional tax and anyone who can pass a background check to buy a rifle can get one
You need to think this through a little better. If you don't feel having to get a federal permit, pay an additional tax, and pass a background check are not restrictions you should have no issue with any other gun control measure.

The government's right to tax is not considered an infringement. However, I do think it should be abolished.

I thought 2aguy addressed the definition of arms very well. See his posts.

You thought? Interesting.

how does my right to own a gun infringe on your right to life? Please explain...
If I lived next door to a crack house and they had an arsenal of automatic weapons I don't think I'd feel very safe.
I asked you, "How does my right to own a gun, infringe on your right to life?' and you use a non sequitur. Again I will ask you one more time
"How does my right to own a gun, infringe on your right to life".

do any of your current neighbors own firearms?

Do you feel safe in your current neighborhood knowing your neighbors own firearms?

Do you know where the term Army originated? It wasn't because they had 2 arms, but that they were able to carry weapons into war. Guns werent invented yet, so they used stuff that could hack and slash, sometimes poke.
Roman Army

You'll have to tell me more about yourself and your guns. Do you live in a crack house in Virginia?
