The cases against Trump are about actions outside of what are viewed as official duties. Can assassination of a political rival by the President be viewed as an official act? Yes. Wuld it be outside what are considered official duties? Yes.

This insanity should be tested properly. President Biden could officially order the justice department to designate Trump an enemy of the country and then order the military to eliminate that threat. And maybe while they are at it also take out the conservative members of the supreme court. All very officially of course.

I said early on in 2016 that if Trump did absolutely nothing more than saving the high court from the neoMarxist totalitarian extreme leftism the Democrats et al are pushing that is tearing this country apart and would make the Court into something it was never ever intended to be, it would be worth my vote.

I will still disagree with the Court from time to time I'm sure, but at least we are seeing sanity and constitutional principles returned to the process.

Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan, a staunch ally of Donald Trump’s, has taken aim at special counsel Jack Smith following the Supreme Court’s decision that Trump could claim immunity for some actions he took while he was president.

Jordan called Smith “hyper-partisan” and claimed the decision showed he could not “weaponize the rule of law to go after the Administration’s chief political rival.”

“We hope that the Left will stop its attacks on President Trump and uphold democratic norms,” he wrote on X.
