This is the problem......their police do not carry guns.....

Heroic stabbed policeman fought terrorists 'armed only with baton'

The policeman, who joined British Transport Police (BTP) just two years ago, was one of four officers injured in the terror attack on Saturday night.

He was stabbed in the face, head and leg, during the assault as he reportedly tried to take on all three attackers at once.

An off-duty Met Police officer was also left in hospital with serious injuries, which are not deemed to be life-threatening.

-----

The officer, who plays rugby in his spare time, reportedly took on the killers with his bare hands.

Seven people died and another 48 were injured when three attackers drove a van at pedestrians before stabbing people with knives at Borough Market.

The killers were shot dead by armed police just eight minutes after they mounted their massacre.

Hmmmmmm....8 minutes to get armed police on scene.......you know...police armed with guns......and they actually did stop the killers...the guy with the baton...not so much....

The Brits don`t have the NRA and the police don`t carry guns. It`s not a coincidence.

2aguy know the chances of getting killed by a gun in the UK is almost non-existent compared in numbers and per capita average in the US.

Only Police Sgt are allowed to carry firearms, the others, batons and whistles to call for help. I do have radios now.

Seems that is changing, the last time I talked with one he was carrying (against the rules) a firearm he bought on the Black market. I could not blame him. As it is said " I would rather be tried by 6 good men than carried by them.

And you know that the odds of getting killed with a gun in the U.S. are almost zero if you aren't a criminal, or friends or family of a criminal...

9,616 gun murders out of a population of over 320 million people.....with over 400 million guns in private hands...and 15.7 million people carrying guns for self defense.....

of those 9,616 gun murders....70-80% of the victims are criminals...and of those who aren't actual criminals...many of those victims are friends and family of the criminals caught in the cross fire.

And of those 9.616 gun murders.....they take place in tiny areas of our major cities....where they have cut the police forces and run the cities with democrat party policies.....

And what happened when Britain banned guns....?

Gun crime in London increases by 42% - BBC News

Gun crime offences in London surged by 42% in the last year, according to official statistics.
The Met Police's figures showed there were 2,544 gun crime offences from April 2016 to April 2017 compared to 1,793 offences from 2015 until 2016.
Knife crime also increased by 24% with 12,074 recorded offences from 2016 to 2017.

Gun and knife crime soaring in London, official figures show

More worryingly, there was also a rise in the number of guns being fired on London’s streets, up from 239 cases in 2015/16 to 306 cases in the last financial year.

There was also a 20 per cent increase in the rate of knife attacks involving injuries to victims, up from 3,663 to 4,415 in 2016/17.

------

“We are concerned about the rise of gun crime and rise of knife crime offences committed by young people and the changing nature of the offenders. “

He said there was evidence that more young people are carrying knives for a variety of reasons including status, criminality and self-protection but said only around a quarter are affiliated with gangs.

He said police were focusing on reducing stabbings by taking weapons and dangerous offenders off the streets and trying to prevent and divert people from crime.
------

“With double-digit growth in gun and knife crime - and a youth homicide almost every fortnight - the crime challenge for London is real and serious and has serious impacts for London’s most disadvantaged communities.”
He added: “With 600 victims of serious youth violence each month, the Met needs a new plan to tackle the violence on our capital’s streets if they are to help impoverished communities.

Violent crime on the rise in every corner of the country, figures suggest

But analysis of the figures force by force, showed the full extent of the problem, with only one constabulary, Nottinghamshire, recording a reduction in violent offences.

The vast majority of police forces actually witnessed double digit rises in violent crime, with Northumbria posting a 95 per cent increase year on year.

Of the other forces, Durham Police recorded a 73 per cent rise; West Yorkshire was up 48 per cent; Avon and Somerset 45 per cent; Dorset 39 per cent and Warwickshire 37 per cent.

Elsewhere Humberside, South Yorkshire, Staffordshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Kent, Wiltshire and Dyfed Powys all saw violence rise by more than a quarter year on year.

What happenede when More Americans started buying and carrying guns...?

We went from 200 million guns in private hands in the 1990s and 4.7 million people carrying guns for self defense in 1997...to close to 400 million guns in private hands and over 15.7 million people carrying guns for self defense in 2017...guess what happened...

-- gun murder down 49%
--gun crime down 75%
--violent crime down 72%

http://www.pewsocialtrends.org/2013/05/07/gun-homicide-rate-down-49-since-1993-peak-public-unaware/

Compared with 1993, the peak of U.S. gun homicides, the firearm homicide rate was 49% lower in 2010, and there were fewer deaths, even though the nation’s population grew. The victimization rate for other violent crimes with a firearm—assaults, robberies and sex crimes—was 75% lower in 2011 than in 1993. Violent non-fatal crime victimization overall (with or without a firearm) also is down markedly (72%) over two decades.

Did the officer prevail? If he did, it'd seem he didn't need a gun.

Wow...that was a particularly stupid post.........the attacks didn't stop until armed police arrived on the scene 8 minutes later...and in that time 7 people died.....over 40 were wounded...had he had a gun the 3 attackers would have been put down on the spot...not 8 minutes later....

The Brits don`t have the NRA and the police don`t carry guns. It`s not a coincidence.

And their gun crime rate is increasing...not a coincidence....

I remember a year or so ago a cop in London was standing unarmed in the square and a Muslim cut his head off!

How many times is a unarmed cop going to go to work before he realizes he would rather be a chicken farmer?
Don't live in the UK then.
Do the people in the UK have a right to life?
Does a cop anywhere have a right to life?
Do you ask such questions often? UK citizens have a much less statistically to be injured by jihadists as anyone else. If you want to go to war against Islam, you will lose.

Your numbers have been bunked again and again, as have your analysis.

The country is far safer than the county 2aguy lives in. If one tallies up the gun deaths and violence in his country, statistically compare it to the UK, which comes out looking better?

No....you haven't debunked anything....since the numbers I use come from the CDC, the FBI and actual studies of gun self defense.....they show you know nothing that is true, factual or based in reality.........

Violence in Britain, including gun violence, is on the rise, they have cut their police forces in order to support their social welfare system...a system that is creating more and more young male sociopaths who cannot be civilized by British culture anymore.....the British culture can no longer raise poor young males raised in single teenage mother run homes into adult men..........and then you throw in violent immigrants...and you are about to see a wave of crime that will cause havoc in Britain.....

Yes. . . you have been debunked for years here.

Your county is more dangerous than the UK: fact.
