People forget or are unaware that Bush in 2005 actually created the US first pandemic federal plan to deal with such as he was convinced historically one was not far off.

It mandated stockpiling of critical medical supplies working with Asian partners on detection and containment and outlined federal coordination with the states.

He also created a dedicated unit in the White House to monitor and sound the alarm should it look like a pandemic was breaking out.

Obama used the plan plan during the Ebola outbreak in 2012.

But Trump, in true fashion disbanded the White House unit and never looked at the plan as Corvid 19 took off.
