Can anyone really argue Gary Johnson is not the best candidate on the ballot?

1. FALSE. "Many" libertarians do not believe that load of bull. You are obviously making that up! Lol.
2. No. Name names.
3. Sorry, but it's not surprising that you are just ANOTHER batshit crazy loony tune partisan. You are a democrat/liberal, correct? That means "craaaazzzy." My sense of humor is probably mountains above yours because you are really not very funny, TBH. More annoying than anything else, and your a NEWB! Lol.
4. Obviously you are clueless and out of touch with TODAY's libertarians, most of whom are young people.
5. What what?
6. You have yet to post any facts. Lol. Bahaha.

#1, you aren't funny at all. It's almost as if you have a complete void in terms of a sense of humor. The fact that you thought my other thread about being psychic was serious speaks volumes about you. You actually worry me.

I want you to become familiar with the work over at politalcompass.org. Those guys are pretty libertarian, so I think you'll find it makes sense.

Here's where Gary Johnson lands on the spectrum.

Here's where the other candidates end up:

Any lower quadrant is basically libertarian land, however one can lean heavily right or left. I end up in the lower left quadrant close to Jill Stein. It's also where Ghandi would've been.

My results:

fmie0k.png

So, actually I side with libertarians on quite a bit of stuff. But I certainly don't consider myself a libertarian, what we think of as libertarians today end up in the lower right quadrant.

The reason why anarchists and libertarians are similar is because they inevitably end up in the lower quadrants, just on opposite sides. Many of their core values are the same, but they have different 'takes' on things such as the state, government, oppression, and freedom.

I have an awesome sense of humor. WAAAY better than yours. Like I said, you are not funny. You are annoying. There is a difference. Maybe you try too hard.

Your charts don't say anything about Gary Johnson being an ANARCHIST though, do they? Lol. That is your claim, no? Prove it.

There is no "try" for me, I only "do." I express myself as I please, and people either laugh at my posts, agree with me, disagree with me, or get mad at me and call me names -- just as you are now doing. It's a very predictable pattern. I had you pegged immediately.

Johnson is differentiated from anarchists purely on economic stuff. But even he would be surprised to find out how much he has in common with lefty anarchists.

I didn't call you any names. I don't know what you're talking about.

Anyway, your OPINION on libertarians is meaningless. For another thing, if he was an ANARCHIST, he would not be running for an elected office with the government, now would he? Lol.

Now, back to the topic. Which candidate is the best on the ballot if not Johnson?

One of the weirdest things about Johnson was that he used to support the death penalty -- even for children as young as 13 and 14. He no longer supports that, but it is a red flag in terms of his mental stability. How anyone who claims to be 'libertarian' could ever support the death penalty, even for children, probably should not be trusted in any capacity whatsoever.

Like I said, libertoonians don't know what the fuck they want. They're the most confused people in America. Probably from all the weed. Or maybe just bad DNA.

Link please.

Look buddy, I don't know who you think you are fooling. You certainly aren't fooling me with your silly and ridiculous rhetoric. You are here to try to make libertarians look as if they are anarchists. The FACT that libertarians have and do run for elected office within the government kind of proves you wrong.

Vermin Supreme.

He is the best on the ballot. How sad is that?
and your opinion. He's great for me! He's everything that I want in a politician. Honest.

In other words, he isn't fake just to get a vote.
Don't be so sure about that, the reason I'm sour on him is that he has sold out a couple of his principles in order to gain more votes. He is very soft on immigration (a brand new position for him), and he's pro-gun control. He has an anti-gun VP. Not very libertarian on both counts.

MOST people grow and change, and when they learn new things, they are capable of changing their opinions. Unlike partisans who NEVER admit they are wrong.

And he just threw in with the global warmer carbon tax crowd this week.

IMO, he's trying to peel off as many Bernouts as he can lay his hands on, no matter how many libertarian principles he has to throw overboard.

Wait, you post a chart which shows Johnson as close to the center between authoritarian and libertarian, and far on the right, yet you say he has a lot in common with lefty anarchists?

There seems to be a disconnect there. :)

Of course you don't. That's because you probably do it so much that you don't even know when you're doing it. It's become habitual for you. It's just the way you libertarians are. Either that or you've just become accustomed to lying your ass off, as most libertarians do.

...Hitlery will end America as we know it.....vote accordingly.....Thinking 2020 or Johnson is the solution is a fucking disaster......
Trump lost me (I was mostly decided already, anyway, truth be told, but not quite fer-shure, back then) when he lost the VFW this summer...

Trump is a demagogue... and I don't trust him, either... even less than the HildaBeast, actually...

He was 43! If that isn't a sign of mental instability, I don't know what is.

I mean, it isn't even close.

Gary had a great record in NM, is a decent, honest, and patriotic American.

He is head and shoulders above any candidate on the ballot. Literally, none of the others even reach his knees....
Except that he's even cheaper than Donald Trump. Refusing to give pennies to the poor. Unlike the Clintons who give 10% of their income to charity.

They give it the Clinton Foundation, who pays the Clinton's expenses. Some charity, themselves.

Bernie should have taken the middle by storm from the start, naming johnson as a vice

Bernie and Gary are 180 degrees apart on spending/size/scope of government.

Libertartianism is not socialism.

National socialism is socialism, however...
Sure, and Saddam Hussein's Republican Guard were Republicans too. I mean, it says so on the label.
If they had been Republicans, Bush wouldn't have disbanded them helping to create Isis.

Unless that was the plan.

Numbnuts, the beginnings of ISIS was in the late 90's under Clinton's regime.

I see you've been learning from the resident rightists here. Hate to break it to you, toots, but there is a difference between opinion and fact. Perhaps that's why you're so confused. You're both confused and dishonest -- a very dangerous combination. Owning up to your mistakes builds character, which you sorely lack. Try it sometime.

Also, I'm not really a libertarian. I'm a centrist. Now what, smart and funny guy?

All of a sudden you're a "centrist" now and not libertarian? lol, that's rich. Here you are defending libertarianism and Johnson as if he was your own brother, I could've sworn you were a 'toon.

Take the test at politicalcompass.org and post your results here. Would be interested to see where you end up, seeing as you are about as confused as Johnson himself..

I don't really care about the weed issue. Lots of people smoke it, who you would never suspect did. You probably run into tons of stoned people every day and you don't even know it. Lol. Anyhow, that is the LEAST of our problems!!!

This is true. I remember in my early 20's while working at my first corporate hell of a job, being totally stunned when I learned how many of the suits smoked weed. Smoking weed with some of them while on the job was something of a turning point in my life...

Unfortunately I can't smoke it anymore ever since I had a little problem not following my friends explicit directions for drinking some Indica tea. I was such an idiot. That was a VERY bad night. lol

If Indica was a problem -- stay away from the absinthe crowd. If you don't know the rules -- you can end up like Van Gogh missing an ear in the morning.

Well, I've done way worse than both Indica and absynthe since then....But my problem with Indica was that I brewed a whole cup of it...and drank the entire thing. I was only supposed to have a couple of sips. I literally thought I was going to have to call 911, but even high as balls I knew that the medics would be laughing at me for calling them, so I refrained. I honestly was having a very difficult time breathing.
