Not true at all. In fact, while it is well known that the US Government has been stealing land from native American since its inception, the ranchers have no comparison and are not having land stolen from them. As what in the past was pretty much worthless real estate good for little more than leases for the use of grazing cattle has become more valuable for other purposes, some of the federally leased lands are being transformed from grazing to these other uses.
There is no comparison between native American lands and lands leased by ranchers and ranching corporations.

Portions of the fees and fines added to the destruction of federal properties are open to litigation, hence, the exact amount is not made public nor are the federal authorities willing to give a final settlement figure. Bundy used lands he didn't even have permits for and built structures that will need to be taken down and did damage to other properties. Those, as well as normal procedures of allowing for compromise and negotiations for funds owed the the government prevent an exact figure from being reached until a settlement, is agreed upon and signed.
