Cop tasers teen standing on his girlfriends porch.

Sorry you live in such an oppressed society.

So teaching your kids not to tresspass is being oppressed ?
He cut between two houses. Who put the giant rod up your ass?

Still tresspassing.
Is only robbing one or two banks better than robbing four?
Nope. Not trespassing. You are allowed to walk on open property. It’s only trespassing if you are told to leave and you refuse.

Otherwise you could arrest anyone who knocks on your door, for example.

Go ahead and try that when you're in someone's backyard without permission.
If the owner tells you to leave, then you leave. If you don’t, it’s trespassing. Given it was his girlfriend’s back yard, he did have permission to be there.

By going through peoples backyards he was rightfully considered a problem.
That he ended up in someone's backyard when confronted is even more damning.
Had he simply followed the officers instructions nothing would have happened.
Instead he wanted to act tough like a lot of blacks who think it's cool to resist.
And he's lucky he didnt wind up dead.

When I was growing up I'd go to my cousins place, we'd go all over the place cutting through yards and no one thought anything of it. I don't see the issue.

There is no issue unless the home owner doesn't want you cutting through the yard. Not saying this is the case, but you never know. Now, if I am the patrol officer and I see someone ANYONE dodging into shadows and wearing all black - that immediately
raises a red flag to me.

Now, I understand that snowflakes see everything as an "affront" to them,. but if you are doing nothing wrong - and you know you are doing nothing wrong - what's the problem? If the Officer approaches you, keep you hands in plain sight and say "yes sir" and "no sir". In other words - keep your damned mouths shut and do as you are told.

That's the next thing that bugs the hell out of me. Where the hell are the Fathers of these assholes? Have they never taught their children how to interact with Police? I realize that some of these "thugs" believe they can do what they want, when they want. Doesn't work that way in the real world. Wake the hell up.

He went between two houses and y’all are acting as if he was engaging in some deplorable behavior. The old man, get off my lawn, strain runs deep.

People don’t really like to be treated like criminals, wouldn’t you agree?

Except for the FACT that criminal research supports a suspicion that kids cutting through yards with hoodies on, acting like they shouldn't be there have done something illegal.
Awfully subjective the last bit. “Acting like they shouldn’t be there” is so vague it’s meaningless.

Suspicious can mean almost anything.
And you don't want cops to use their instincts and ask questions?

Suspect is reported for suspicious behavior. Cop investigates. The suspicious character ignores a reasonable request by a cop. Cop must stand there all day and get no response.
Reading the story, it appears there was no report of suspicious behavior. I think you invented that line.

We gotta stop calling everyone suspicious. Paranoia is really tearing us apart.
We don't want cops patrolling and looking for criminals?

They should just ignore what they see?

Get the fuck outta here.
If they see a crime, that’s one thing. If they’re just stopping kids cutting through yards, then they’re not protecting anyone. They’re just harassing people for no reason.

Oh for the love of god...........You guys are so of shit that your breath stinks...PATROLLING means EXACTLY that patrolling, looking for crimes or suspicious activity. Seriously folks! Do you HONESTLY believe that cops are out there for the sole purpose of "harassing" people!?!?
No, but I think they wind up harassing a lot of people for no reason. Still not sure what he was doing there. The cop is part of highway patrol. He wasn’t patrolling the neighborhood as that’s not even his jurisdiction.

Did it ever occur to you that maybe, just MAYBE, he was on his way home? Hmmm?

I’m a bit worried about those instincts. Yes.

Americas police forces are out of control. I dont need to fill in the demographics on this one. You already know.
With all these crazed cops running around and me not quite the upstanding citizen I would think I would at least see one of them. I can see it all now though. Some goody two shoes setting on his girl friend's porch polishing his good guy award given him by the people of his city when two cops looking for some simple minded upstanding citizen to beat to a pulp. Goodie Two Shoes was turned away from the cops trying to get a hard stain off his award when they pulled out their tasers and blind sided him. Not stopping until leaving him in a vegetated state. a fter making sire Goodie Twoo Shoes was in cuffs and leg irons they got on their radio calling other cops to come and join in on the fun. It happens all the time.

Don't act like one and answer the cop's questions and you won't be treated like one.

Seems pretty fucking simple.

We are asking cops to patrol and protect, but you ass licks get bent out of shape and start being assholes when they do.

It did, very reasonable possibility but as I said I’m not sure. Other posters seemed to believe he was called by neighbors or something. That doesn’t seem to be the case.

Oh of course they don't.....DEFUND THE POLICE!!! is their mantra. I sincerely hope that when these fascists need a cop that none can be found to help their dumb asses.....

Many cops will be glad to walk over your rights if you allow them to. This I know for sure.

is it criminal to wear black? No.
is it criminal to cut between houses? No.

Who said “do nothing”?

it’s a straw man. I’m worried that someone may have instincts that leads them to treat some people different than others.
Cop asks a question, and you think the way to react is to IGNORE HIM?

Yes, some people (who do stupid shit like that) will be treated differently.

Asking you questions to eliminate you as a suspect? No.
A suspect in what crime exactly? There was no crime.

The kid told them he was there to see his girlfriend.
