I used to own a swimming pool service company in Las Vegas. My insurer demanded that I maintain proof that all my drivers had valid driver's licenses, which meant that illegals did not even bother to respond to my want ads. The jobs involved hauling about 50 pounds of equipment back and forth from pools and the trucks, which were not air conditioned, because if they were, they would never turn off the engine while they cleaned pools in 110 degree temperature. I only needed three drivers, but in a two year period, I never had more than 2 at one time. In that time, all of them were white, except one, who was African-american. I never even took the ad out of the paper. Nobody wanted to do the job, in spite of the fact that it was unskilled labor with pay $6 an hour over minimum wage. Almost all of the drivers I hired turned out to be drunks, thieves, and especially druggies, because anyone who could pass a drug test got jobs in air conditioned casinos. One was found face up in the desert one Sunday morning next to his meth lab.

A friend of my owned a landscaping business, and he drove the truck himself, so he did not have to worry about driver's licenses. All of his workers were latino, probably illegal aliens, and were damned happy to work all day in the Las vegas Heat for minimum wage paid in cash, and no benefits. He had no turnover problems.
