Daily Presidential Tracking Poll

And I remember this guy named Clinton who, despite taking a hit in his approval ratings early on, finished two terms and was pretty popular at the end.

What happened to Clinton's Dem. majority in Congress in the mid term elections?

That did suck, but Clinton kept on being POTUS for 6 more years while his popularity grew despite that . At least it was nice to see the GOoPers gnashing their teeth cuz I knew it pissed them off.

:D

In spite of the rantings of the talk show wags, though, Clinton was financially more conservative than was Bush.

The reality of politics is this: Social conservatism or liberalism doesn't make a rats pituuti's difference in how a President affects my life. Fiscal liberalism or conservatism makes a big difference.

Clinton was a fiscal conservative. Bush was a fiscal liberal. Obama is a Socialist.

What made Clinton's Presidency work from a strictly political view point was that he could appear to be saving the world from Newt while at the same time excercising fiscal restraint. Since most of the liberal community requires no more than words to be satisfied, they were.

Of course having the biggest peace time economic boom since the 20's didn't hurt either.

Evidence of what I'm saying? Clinton had the surplus and determined that it should be used to buy down the debt. This is a Conservative principle. Bush gave it away. Liberalism to populism. Obama, seeing that astronomically high deficits are stretching well into the future is trying to double them. This is just nuts.

We have gone from pretty good to pretty bad to abysmal.

That's just about the same approval rating that Bush Jr. had, at this point in his presidency. Obama won't be "vulnerable" until there's an election that he could lose - and that's 3 years from now.
um, is comparing him to Bush really a GOOD thing?
i mean if that is your standard, you are setting it rather low

Definitely not comparing him to Bush. I'm just pointing out the meaninglessness of any polling done right now, in reference to some imaginary "trend". There's no such thing as a trend this far out from the next election.

BO's approval are dropping because he's a rotten POTUS trying to push things people don't want.

It ain't rocket science.

Not trying to burst your bubble, but a lot more 'fun' than 8 months ago. LOL! It sucks to be a liberal today. Even if you 'win' with nuclear option, you lose and know it.

What cracks me up is that the whining by libs has gotten louder, not softer, since 0bama was anointed...

They've changed the punctuation from "We Won!!!" to "We Won???"...LOL

This little lop eared, zero experience, community organizer, JOKE is sinking faster than the Titanic. There isn't going to be anyone left in the damn country that thinks this little fucker knows jack shit in another six months. Aaaah yes, 2010 is going to be a good year...

As I stated before he will be in the low 40's to high 30's by the time congress returns from recess. 59% think congress should be cleaned out with 18% not sure, well you know that you have at least 9% of the 18% that would vote them out so that means 68% would be for voting members of congress out on their butts.

He is gonna be a one termer, let's just hope he gets none of his radical fascist policies passed before he is out. Otherwise, the new administration will have one hell of a mess to clean up. Maybe they can prosecute him for irresponsible, spending on speed, signing bills he did not read. etc:lol:

yet Rasmussen was tied with just one other polling firm for getting last falls election the closest to the actual results

:eusa_whistle:

oh, and Gallop wasnt the other firm

Actually Rasmussen had the election Obama by 6 and he won by 7.3. Several pollsters were inside that.

Rasmussen is currently 16 pts off the poll averages on Obama's approval/disapproval and have been around that most of the time since Obama became president. On the UNfavorable side of that average btw.

If a pollster was coming in around that many pts above the averages for Obama's approval/disapproval over and over and over again you couldn't find one conservative in a hundred who would take them seriously.

It's a full time job keeping these folks honest.

They are having an increasingly difficult time coming to terms with the fact the majority of Americans are saying clearly they dissaprove of Obama and his far left liberalism.
