I suggest you and others of your kind read and try to comprehend the Amendments on voting rights, and in doing so (trying to comprehend) consider that the 2nd A. and other Amendments are also full partners along with the first seven Articles in COTUS.

It is not too abstract to conclude the founders and signers understood direct democracy could lead to chaos. Hence, we have a Republic created anew every two years by the vote of the people.

A democratic republic is as sure as a Separation of Powers, both together have worked well and kept our Union secure, viable and yet not explicitly stated in Art's I, II and III. Think, Judicial Review is not a power named in COTUS, and yet exists and has for over two centuries.
