Nah, I think he was being a partisan asshole who was being called to the floor for leading a partisan investigation that was supposed to be bipartisan, not even information sharing with his committee, and he didn't want it to be heard so he censored it like a dickhead.

As for my being an asshole, that depends on the definition. I use the term as an acronym , to wit: Arrogant Self serving = Ass; and hole, a noun which describes someone who lacks substance; that fits Issa.

Weather he's a racist or not is something only he knows. We can guess by his words and behavior but his rant to Rep. Cummings wasn't enough to define him as racist,. It was probative evidence that he is an asshole.

He knew 100% that the woman was going to take the 5th, but he wanted to give FOX some food. He also did something which has never been done before by preventing the other side from speaking. Did Lerner not send emails indicating she was under pressure to "do something" about Tea Party groups? Does the evidence not appear to indicate the Democrats are using the IRS to suppress legitimate political speech?
How is it being an asshole to want to try find out what happened? Isn't Cummings the asshole for wanting to monopolize the time with a ranting speech?

Nah, he was following the Rules of Order. In fact anyone with a non biased bone in their body would have seen that Issa allowed Cummings to ask his question. As soon as Cummings went on his rant, Issa had enough and shut off his mic. That's when Cummings threw his tantrum. Funny enough that he and his staffers were the only ones left in the room. Issa didn't censor anything, Cummings tried to trick Issa into that little stunt and failed.

And what part of that investigation was "partisan"? You do realize that both parties get to question the witnesses right? Besides, why would the Democrats want to investigate the IRS? They have campaigns to run and reality to ignore.

The irony in all this is - outside of the irrelevant Jackson, and maybe a few random idiots, there's been no charges of racism against Issa.

However - ISSA claimed Cummings was leveling a charge of racism when Cummings said Issa was "shutting down the minority voice."
