Gun owners also would have to pay the government $800 in "insurance" fees, and a long list of weapons simply would be banned.

When did I ever talk about education? People can do fine without one. However one has to get a skill or trade to live comfortably in this country. I have no advanced education and did just fine. I did however get into a field of work where my talent was in strong demand, even until this day. You can't cry to the government you are being treated unfairly because you did nothing to make your employment worth anymore than minimum or low wage. That's what pulling yourself up by the bootstraps means.

We have a huge dope problem in this country, we have parents who won't kick their adult children out of the house, and in many cases insist they live with them. It's difficult to get ahead that way. Some people will be aggressive with their future all by themselves, and some people have to be forced into becoming an adult.

Why would that be a bad thing?

You see, funny thing, when the Second Amendment was passed, guns were so expensive most people couldn't afford them. Gun ownership was a privilege of the rich.

Then Colt started mass producing them, and we've had criminals with guns ever since.

Funny thing, what they are kind of proposing here is what Germany already has. Germany has gun ownership, about 20 million guns for 80 million people. But it isn't considered a "Right", it's a privilege that has to be earned.

Germany has very little gun crime and few gun murders.

Gun ownership was a privilege of the rich.

He has a legal residence in a different state than where he lives for work (which many people do), and he also can't go to a crowded polling place like other people do because of security concerns. Do the whiny leftist children want to demand that the Secret Service clear out the entire polling place, thus delaying the ability of everyone else there to vote, just so that they can have the petty joy of demanding that the President vote in person? Are they claiming that they, too, have a job that requires that level of personal security?
