AND NO ONE ELSE IS BILLED any more than anyone is billed every time an uninsured person went to the ER before the PPACA. It all comes out of taxes. The PPACA is a tax levied against those who have the means but won't get insurance.

Then when you or your loved one is injured in an accident, there you go being rushed off to the ER with tax payers picking up the tab paying for their own insurance AND your treatment. You might be billed but that bill could be $250,000.
So without insurance, a lien can be placed on all you own , And don't think about transferring your valuables to a relative or friend. They''ll look back 5 years from the onset of your illness to track your transfers down. Only after all the dust has cleared from that will you be eligible for MEDICAID...if it still exists by then.

A lien can be placed on all you own if you have insurance as well. That's why in order to get OBAMACARE you have to provide the state with all your property information. So that when you DIE the state just takes your house, thank you.

No, that's not what I meant at all. Subsidies to poor folk have no bearing on what you and your insurer agree upon. Subsidies come from tax dollars so you should ask your insurer why they raised your premiums ?
My advice to you is to cancel that policy and join a grouo insurance plan. You'll get a better rate.

That would complicate things if the illegal parents were living with and taking care of the kids..
