Filmmaker Who Targeted ACORN Arrested in Alleged Senate Phone Scheme

What O'Keefe and co. did or didn't do hasn't been found yet. Though not charged with wiretapping or other crimes screamed by the headlines.

He's gotten less fairness than the Christmas Day bomber, only on the left would this be considered a good thing.

Why has the prosecutor recused himself? The day after the arrest? Why not reported? Why no reasons for it?

U.S. Attorney Jim Letten last week decided to remove himself from the prosecution of four young men arrested for trying to tamper with the phones in U.S. Sen. Mary Landrieu's New Orleans office.

Assistant U.S. attorney Jan Mann will prosecute the case.

According to a brief news release sent to reporters on Monday evening, Letten decided to recuse himself from the investigation and "potential prosecution" of the men because of "various relevant factors." These factors, which the release stated were discussed with officials at the U.S. Department of Justice, are not named.

The recusal decision came the day after the men were arrested last week and the same day they were released from custody, according to the news release....

O'Keefe has a target on his back. I think he needs to become a Fox commentator or something because he's not going to be effective at rooting out corruption anymore.

What happened in the press and what really happened seems to be a bit fuzzy now. Turns out the Senator from LA who was the recipient of the $300 million dollar Louisiana Purchase was shutting down her phone banks so nobody could get through to complain. O'Keefe wanted to expose this. It ended up biting him in the ass.

Kind of reminds me of Watergate....which is what happens when you try to expose the corruption of the powerful. Democrats had a prostitution ring going in the Watergate hotel and several overzealous conservatives decided they were gonna find proof of it's existence. They instead got caught by security. The Dems used this to bring down a President. It didn't matter what the reason was, the way they went about it was wrong. It does no good to expose corruption if you have to break the law to do it. However in this case the charges were false. It seems O'Keefe didn't break any laws.

In fairness, Nixon was brought down by his own paranoia and misplaced loyalty, both of which contributed to his trying to 'cover-up' the crime.

This little nugget is also floating around the web, but I'm not sure how much veracity to put into it:

"One arrested, Stan Dai, is listed as an Operations Officer of the Department of Defense Irregular Warfare Program and a known expert and lecturer on,
not only surveillance but explosives training, assassinations and “false flag operations.”

If you wanted a plane to crash, an enemy to get sick and die or a building to blow up, Dai would be the man to know how to make it happen.
"

hmm.

Boy this is getting really deep.:cuckoo:

They have to destroy this guy.

They'll resort to anything to do it.

Question is....is this the kind of goverment you wanted when you voted for Obama. A government that destroys people that stand in their way?

Now O'Keefe knows how Joe The Plumber and Sarah Palin feel.

That is the usual. A President's character does count the most in how they are eventually rated historically.

What a load of revisionist crap.

You ought to be ashamed of yourself.

That is the usual. A President's character does count the most in how they are eventually rated historically.

Because of the Progressive movement we are only now discovering that Teddy Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, and FDR used progressive policies. So the truth sometimes takes decades to be exposed. I think Obama's legacy will be cleaned up after the fact and he will be a hero in some circles and the Devil in others.

I don't know about that. While I like a lot of what Teddy did, there were some real bad actors in business back then, I knew about him being Progressive and Wilson/FDR taking those programs much further. Of the bunch, Wilson was the worst. Bad for domestic, worse for international.

Wilson was one of the very worst of all the presidents, a real ass, and his wife a total bitch. They thought they were king and queen of the "New World." They are a pair someone should have dealt with...... Belleview comes to mind...

Historians writing textbooks love President Woodrow Wilson. They relate to him. He was a college professor and the president of Princeton before he entered politics. Unlike most politicians, he came from the intellectual side of town, my side. They idolize him as America's philosopher-king, as indeed he was.

Historians praise his championing the League of Nations. He undertook a noble and costly fight for a good cause that appealed to historians, so the school textbooks they write tell us about it terms aglow.

But textbook writers fall short of telling us that Wilson, a southerner raised during the racist jim crow era, brought racism -back- into government hiring, and was one of the most racist presidents of all time. Some male historians who mention it say his wife was to blame. Is it not acceptable anymore for a philosopher-king to be racist?

Textbook writers also do not tell us that on the sidewalk outside Wilson's White House was a permanent circle of women gathered around a fire making a spectacle for the press of burning Wilson's speeches. Why? Woodrow Wilson, philosopher-king, was the most powerful voice of his day arguing -against- giving women the vote.

Historians couch in soft terms, if they even mention it, that Wilson sought campaign contributions and support from the most despicable big money self-interests in the nation. Then he repaid them by sending US Marines to invade more countries south of us than any President before or since. The purpose? Exploitation.

Woodrow Wilson was the father of banana republics, that league of cruel and corrupt nations south of us beholden to United Fruit and other US business interests.

The philosopher-king validated the concept of colonialism-without-responsibility. Wilson's policies destroyed the chance for successful democracies in South and Central America - and the lives of millions - by giving big landowners everything, plus the firepower to keep it.

To stay in the White House, the philosopher-king knowingly allowed himself to be used by evil interests for evil purposes, and knew it. This conflicts with the values we extol, especially the belief intellectuals are morally superior, or at least moral. Are they? Woodrow Wilson wasn't.

Was it so important that Wilson be re-elected? His campaign slogan for re-election was "He kept us out of war," and Americans thanked him for that by voting for him. But once re-elected, he took us into the war, causing the death of 116,500 American boys and the wounding of 204,000.

Would it damage Wilson's credibility as the philosopher-king and the champion of the League of Nations to teach a balanced view of him? Absolutely. It would raise issues about his motives. It would teach us that philosopher-kings use lying, corruption, and opportunism just like other politicians. American Myths

Very funny.....can't argue the point so you take to belittling the messenger personally.

The chalkboard he uses is very effective.....and because it works the left makes fun of it.....just like everything else that is effective in exposing their bullshit.

I don't think they were trying to purposely ruin the economy though.

That's where Obama's favorite author Sal Alinsky comes in.

Rules For Radicals.

He's recommending it as reading material for your children in our public schools. It's hard for him to say he doesn't believe in it now.

It was on my high school reading list, back in 70's.

Actually it was the Republicans who had a MALE prostitution ring going on at the Watergate.

They were just trying to monitor the Democrats there to make sure they didn't get too close.

Yes, chalkboards are often effective for teaching pre-adolescents.

And since most Beck fans never advanced beyond 3rd Grade critical thinking skills, Beck's blackboard is very effective at ingraining his crap into your heads.
