CDC Gun Research Backfires...
The CDC was studying the effects of gun violence. NRA propaganda has you believing the studies were about gun control. How much of an ostrich must one be to be so devoted to the gun? Does that make seeing gun violence against innocents easier to bear?Quietly, Congress extends a ban on CDC research on gun violenceHad the NRA not blocked non-partisan studies by the CDC on gun violence in America, we may have actual statistics to call on rather than a dismissive and unreliable "never happened".The same leftist predictions that never came true after they instituted CCW's in the states.
When CCW's were being debated here, the leftists predicted we would have shootouts in the street like Dodge city. Never happened.
Then they passed our Castle Doctrine which gives homeowners legal rights to defend themselves inside their home with firearms. The leftists predicted people would be dragging enemies into their homes, shooting them, and then telling the police it was a break in. Never happened.
Then they passed a law so CCW holders could keep loaded firearms in their vehicles and within reach. The leftists predicted it would lead to deadly road rage incidents and people would be firing at each other while driving on the highways. Never happened.![]()
yeah....the CDC was pushing gun control...not studying the issue....the CDC is full of anti gunners who use their positions to push a political agenda.......and violate the civil rights of law abiding Americans...

There are plenty of studies on gun ownership, violence and so forth. Why does yet another government agency need to put in their two-cents? It could only be for one reason, and that is to try and skew the available data that's out there.
Of course DumBama had no problem spending 10 million dollars of our tax money to promote HIS political agenda. And we know that Republicans were against wasting this money for that purpose.

and what did that CDC study find....that guns were used between 500,000 and 3 million times a year for self defense.....those who did the study for Obama are now working in the Antarctic...looking for tropical plant life......
NRA/GOPbots. Absolute idiocy.
Some of us have a serious problem with the 2nd Amendment, which needs to be repealed by the 28th.NRA/GOPbots. Absolute idiocy.
The NRA is a grassroot organization of six million members created to protect a major Constitutional right and is the biggest firearm safety organization in the world.
Only stupid uneducated low information Moon Bats would find a problem with that.

Some of us have a serious problem with the 2nd Amendment, which needs to be repealed by the 28th.
And right now the NRA is standing in the way of gun safety, blocking smart guns.
I have problems only with the 2nd, and you can't get a smart gun here, the NRA will not allow them.[

I understand that some Liberals have a problem with the Bill of Rights. It is not only the right to keep and bear arms that you don't like but also freedom of speech and freedom of religion so forgive me if I think that is despicable.
I am a NRA Certified Firearms Instructor and Range Safety Officer. Almost everything I do is firearm safety.
If you join the NRA and follow their guidelines for safe firearms handling then you will have no problems and you won't need a stupid ineffective "smart" gun. However, if you want one then go buy one.

A civilian arms race? What happens when all these armed people bump into one another? Will there be fewer assaults, but more shootings? Will there be fewer road rage situations solved by using automobiles and more solved by the exchange of gun fire? Will emergency rooms be treating fewer black eyes and broken bones and more gun shot victims?More & more Americans are deciding to arm themselves. And that's a very wise move. We are moving closer & closer to Third World chaos.
Endless War, Open Borders, a rapidly expanding Police State? Arming yourself to protect you and your loved ones, is the logical common sense move.
Ah! Guns! Is there nothing you cannot do?
you know the fact....that 13 million Americans now carry guns for self defense...and our gun murder rate, and our gun accident rate are both going down...not up...that is the truth, those are the facts and that is the reality......and all states now allow some kind of carry and the gun murder rate and accident rate are going down,..
Hint for you, anyone who doesn't isn't a liberal, by definition.[

As we have seen lately most Liberals have big problems with the right of free speech and the freedom of religion but that is the subject for another thread.
The list of things we don't allow law abiding citizens to possess is too long to list. Guns need to be added to that as almost no citizen needs one.A civilian arms race? There's no valid reason why a law abiding Citizen shouldn't be allowed to be armed. For those who don't like that, they can always relocate to France or Great Britain with all the other Nanny State pussies. America never was a place for pussies. It's a tough place. You can't run with the big dogs, stay on the porch.

I own guns, and your fetish for them doesn't mean we can't repeal the 2nd Amendment, which we will eventually or whatever new nations are founded here will drop. There is no need to most people to own firearms.[Q

The Second Amendment is not needs based just like you don't have to prove a need before you have freedom of speech.
The "need" is expressed quite well with the phrase in the Bill of Rights "being necessary to the security of a free State".
If you are a pussy that is afraid of firearms then don't buy one. Nobody is stopping you. However, you are being a real despicable asshole when you advocate using the force of government to "infringe" the right to keep and bear arms. What the hell is the matter with you? Did your father not show you enough affection or something?
By the way, my "needs" for firearms are the following:
1. Recreational purposes
2. Self defense
3. Hunting
4. Maintain the strength of the citizenry to hold the government accountable for oppression.
Of all of those needs it is number four that the Founding Fathers of this country felt was the most important and it is just as valid today as it was over 200 years ago. Maybe even more so.
There is nothing that says we need to be a stupid nation, hard as you try to make it that way. Guns are a thing of the past, like slavery and women and children being treated as property. The list of things we don't allow law abiding citizens to possess is too long to list. Well, that's your opinion. But it's not a valid reason. Like i said, America's a tough place. It always has been. It's not for everyone. If you can't handle that, there's always Nanny State pussy countries like France and Great Britain. You're welcome to relocate. Bon Voyage.

For now...Again, your opinion. Citizens have the right to be armed. Period, end of story.
