Republicans show themselves to be petty and out of touch with their attitudes towards gays
They show themselves to be vindictive with their attitudes towards young women, birth control and rape

Mostly, they are indifferent towards the struggles of young people with paying for education and finding jobs.......if you young people weren't so lazy, you could find jobs

You laid out the incentive to oppose Democrats perfectly. Groups are to be bought. When government doesn't give you free things like birth control, then they are "indifferent" to you. Nothing actually comes for free from government, it all comes with a price. The Republicans need to be the party that helps you by not screwing you.

A good start would be to step up and

1). Find ways to say positive things about social security rather than call it PONZI schemes and other fear mongering. The fact is that if you are a middle class working slob barely getting by, it is going to greatly help you. And if SS is so bad and there are better ways, then provide that help free of charge.

2). Come up with an alternative plan to the ACA...one that provides insurance to all for a much lower price. I'm all in then to see all people have access to affordable care. Many believe the system was working just fine... that isn't true except for the uber wealthy. How about coming out and saying "NObody should have to go into a lot of debt if they get sick.". I'd like to hear a GOP politician say that and present a plan that has low costs with top quality care.

3). Get rid of the loopholes for the uber wealthy... and for corporations. Decrease corporate tax rates some and then take away Al tax break loopholes. Lower the taxes on the middle class. Be an advocate for the middle class rather than the rich.
