If You Had the Power to Rule the World, What Would You Do? Here's What I'd Do.

Provided they were good Catholics/republicans/conservatives/heterosexuals.

Anyone else would be thrown off the roof like they do in all good religious countries.
Atheist countries murdered 150 million in the last century.

Some people actually need someone to take care of them but I guess you'd rather see those people suffer and die.
Whereas you shove them off on a faceless bureaucracy instead of envisioning care via family, friends, community.

This entire OP is a call to turn the entire world into a theocracy. With you as the sole arbiter of what is meant in the bible.

It's only virtue is that it is intellectually honest. You show no compunction to admit you have a disdain for the Constitution.

God would be pleased because I'd do better job than atheist George Soros and the Chinese government is currently doing for the world.
A century before Christ mankind was envisioning a great leader who could resolve problems. Their conclusion: In the long run, even with a great leader to remember, ultimately human leadership is doomed to failure. Thousands of years before that, ancient man noted that one could always identify a nation in decline--lack of discipline, particularly noticeable in lack of sexual discipline.

Regrettably, Mashmont, even Catholic government is doomed to ultimate failure. Power and wealth lead to lack of discipline which quickly disintegrates into lack of sexual discipline. All throughout our history, each time we fail, a Phoenix has risen from the ashes. Washington DC will fall just like all cities of governance before DC. Even so, we should recall the lesson in Revelation that was taught back in 1 AD. God will prevail. God prevailed back in the time of Genesis; back in the time of Christian persecution; and our descendants will see the same with DC.

Just as physical death comes to every human body, to every star, it comes to every government. And it would come to a Catholic government, too, because Catholics are human.

Such as what? Abortion?

Ironic, isn't it. The church has conservative social values, but the laity is quite liberal, and it's the laity that not only votes but lives out their own liberal values.

Another contradiction of the church. It supports the death penalty as a reasonable punishment then declares that it should never be used. o_O

Let’s say in the workings of my fertile mind, I lay in bed at 4 a.m., and the secret of telekinesis is revealed to me. I can mentally move anything I want, regardless of size or distance anywhere in the world. I can do it easily and instantly. Maybe it would involve quantum entanglement. This would immediately give me power to rule the world. I could depose any dictator, I could move them to a remote island. Anything I wanted. What would I do? First, I will pose the question to all of you:

If you had the power to rule the world, would you?

I damn sure would. And lucky for the world, because my sole goal would be to help mankind. I personally would live as modestly as I do now. Things I would do:

  • Institute Roman Catholicism as the official religion of all countries.
  • Disband all atheist Communist dictatorships.
  • Disband all Islamic dictatorships
  • Ban the promotion of any part of an atheist agenda, including all rhetoric designed to weaken the family or society as is being done in the US.
  • Allow drilling and fracking everywhere.
  • Construct a Catholic chapel in all government seats of power.
  • Outlaw all abortion and birth control.
  • Outlaw porn and sexual immorality from all media sources and Hollywood.
  • Outlaw gay marriage.
  • Institute capitalism in all countries
  • Ban the manipulation of free societies by leftist atheist forces.
  • Make all public schools’ and universities’ curricula consistent with the teachings of Jesus’ Catholic Church.
  • Institute a system in which takes governments out of the business of social welfare. Put that in the hands of individuals and encourage charity. Match donors with recipients. Encourage charity recipients to show appreciation.
  • Disallow unwholesome ideas in all media and social media.
  • As a government, encourage love of others and charity.
  • Have an ongoing advertising and social media campaign to recruit seminarians for the priesthood and nuns for the sisterhood.
I'd be Donald Trump, but younger and better looking. Just be POTUS and see where it goes from there. First order of business would be to beat Biden.

And the world wide revolution would start the following day.

Again... unlike some other religions and ethnicities, the church members are pretty evenly split between conservatives and liberals which is why they can sometimes swing elections.

But I wasn't aware that the church supported the death penalty.

They acknowledge that the dp is an appropriate punishment for some crimes, but oppose it's actual use.

You are correct on that point. Why can't we move beyond bureaucratic care to family or neighborly care?
I don't know. That's a good question. What we are doing obviously isn't working because welfare rolls continue to grow. Seems like we should try the concept of subsidiarity.

Who specifically acknowledges that the dp is an appropriate punishment for some crimes?

I would outlaw everything you're in favor of, because everything you're in favor of is bullshit...

Mashmouth not only knows that he wants what he wants, but he knows what he wants you to want, as well.

What you want, however, is wholly unimportant to him...

Good thing you aren't biased

The order of mass has been that way for centuries. You don't know what you are talking about. You can't even explain the basis for your belief.

.

What bias ... It isn't even restricted to the Roman Catholic Church.

At no point did I ever suggest that a self-righteous person could understand the proprietary nature of Glory.
If you think showing me reference to what I specifically stated is a polluted principle to start with, it doesn't help prove your point.

Show me again where church dogma supports my point ... :auiqs.jpg:
