If you thought sending a letter to the Iranian Mullahs was bad, this could be worse

Ousting Netanyahu would be a net asset to American vital interests.

Have some of you people decided that the Administration should not act to protect US vital interests?

I certainly agree! However, many rightwingers seem to place Israel's vital interests ahead of U.S. vital interests.

It's okay with democrats if taxpayer funds are used to finance a candidate in a foreign election.

If president Romney had spent $350,000 to reelect Netanyahu you'd be okay with that.

Blog Report Bipartisan Senate panel probing Obama admin support for defeating Netanyahu

A powerful U.S. Senate investigatory committee has launched a bipartisan probe into an American nonprofit’s funding of efforts to oust Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after the Obama administration’s State Department gave the nonprofit taxpayer-funded grants, a source with knowledge of the panel's activities told FoxNews.com.

The fact that both Democratic and Republican sides of the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations have signed off on the probe could be seen as a rebuke to President Obama, who has had a well-documented adversarial relationship with the Israeli leader.

The development comes as Netanyahu told Israel’s Channel Two television station this week that there were “governments” that wanted to help with the “Just Not Bibi” campaigning -- Bibi being the Israeli leader’s nickname. (snip)

According to the source, the probe is looking into “funding” by OneVoice Movement – a Washington-based group that has received $350,000 in recent State Department grants, and until last November was headed by a veteran diplomat from the Clinton administrations.

A subsidiary of OneVoice is the Israel-based Victory 15 campaign, itself guided by top operatives of Obama’s White House runs, which seeks to “replace the government” of Israel.

“It’s confirmed that there is a bipartisan Permanent Subcommittee inquiry into OneVoice’s funding of V15,” the source said, speaking on condition of anonymity about the American group, which bills itself as working for a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Shame on Jewish Americans who vote for everything democrat. Shame on you.

Hilarious, an unconfirmed source refers to a supposed sub committee composed of unnamed Senators. Pretty funny.

You were claiming that Obama "sent" these guys to Israel. Are you moving the goalposts now?

Nope. I never said Obama sent anyone. But since you mentioned it, he could have. Obama's adversarial relationship with Netanyahu is well documented. And it could stand to reason that he still holds sway over his former campaign operatives.

Funny. I see it as Netanyahu's adverserial relationship to Obama :)

Well....that's because you are looking at the matter from the perspective of someone who is rooting for America. Some people can't bring themselves to do that while the "usurper" occupies the White's House.

You know, I've never understood the wingnuts on this. If you oppose the policies of the leader of Israel, you are an anti semite and hate Israel...coming from the folks who vehemently oppose the policies of the leader of the United States of America.
That's an invalid juxtaposition based on the difference between their goals.

Bibi promotes the defense of and the continuation of the democratic state of Israel. Opposition to his policies represents opposition to his goal....maybe not but easily could be hatred of his race.

Obama promotes the weakening of America and its progression toward socialism and mediocrity. Opposition to his policies represents opposition to his goal...definitely not hatred of his race.

Obama is a goddamned Marxist.

Oh my....Another right wing committee is going to investigate something that they hope will help their 2016 chances. Here's an idea......Why don't they investigate how to quit acting like a bunch of spoiled children and get to working for the good of the country? That is something they haven't shown any interest in yet.
Probably because the President vetoes every good thing for the country.....A true obstructionist, your president.

Typical right wing delusion
A substantiated fact. The bastard even brags that he will veto this that and the other before they are brought to vote.

That's the other half of his "power of the pen"! He can either create bad laws by EO or abort good laws by veto.

Then again, you apparently trust the obama administration.

Oh, stop it. The other Jews in Israel love their country and democracy as well.

I doubt they hate Bibi's race.

Many of his opponents want socialism....just like Obama. Socialism is not democracy.

Any more than capitalism is democracy. Socialism is economics, democracy is politics. So go talk to the democratic socialist countries in western Europe that have existed there off and on since the end of WWII.

As has been said, soon enough socialist governments run out of other people's money. Capitalism promotes working for one's living. Socialism promotes voting for one's subsistence. Socialism is definitely a political issue. If affects local and national economies in its forceful taking of income from successful entrepreneurs and its redistribution of it to lazy assholes that are content with being totally subsidized by government. This has a major negative affect on the expansion of businesses and the ever-present need for the creation of NON-GOVERNMENT jobs. Liberals just can't seem to grasp this simple FACT...even as people leave liberalized states in the US to find a better life elsewhere.

Nah, you don't understand the relationship of people, politics, and economics is the problem, Asaritis. Democracies can fail (the white conservative South after the Civil War; South Africa; Hamas; Iran) and succeed (the US, Britain, France, Denmark, Russia, Australia, Taiwan, etc.) and they can be socialist or capitalistic.

Governments fail for various reasons. Just because a democracy fails does not mean democracy caused the failure. A totally socialistic government fails in comparison to capitalism...every time...simply because it rewards the moochers and punishes achievers.
