Intercepts show Sessions met with Russians about campaign several times

One of many reasons I absolutely hate leftists is that although they watched 0bama lies continuously for 8 years, that was ok, now all of a sudden lies bother these assholes.
No, suddenly blatent lies from the right are ok.

This is part of the GOP game plan. Convince their constituents the left lies so it's ok that they do.

Lie about bj < treason with Russia.

Playing politics with Benghazi and lost emails is nothing. Bush deleted emails, remember? And bush lied us into Iraq. Benghazi and emails are nothing

Another reason I hate progressives so much is their ignorance of history and facts. A trait that is on display in abundance on your post.

When are y'all going to get the message that nobody cares? Less than 7% of the country consider this a "critical issue".

First, fhey do. second, the only one that matters now is Mueller. When he starts handing down indictments, MANY will care.

He will do no such thing. Indictments are made by a grand jury. Are you this ignorant of the legal process in this country or are you still in middle school?

Well two reporters from the Washington Post was what brought Nixon down. You might want watch "All of the Presidents Men" again to see how the Washington Post works--LOL They do take a lot of pride in what they put out, and will check 3 different qualified sources before printing an article--because they HATE to have to retract a story.

Here is the article--in case some of you can't get it.

"Russia’s ambassador to Washington told his superiors in Moscow that he discussed campaign-related matters, including policy issues important to Moscow, with Jeff Sessions during the 2016 presidential race, contrary to public assertions by the embattled attorney general, according to current and former U.S. officials.

Ambassador Sergey Kislyak’s accounts of two conversations with Sessions — then a top foreign policy adviser to Republican candidate Donald Trump — were intercepted by U.S. spy agencies, which monitor the communications of senior Russian officials both in the United States and in Russia. Sessions initially failed to disclose his contacts with Kislyak and then said that the meetings were not about the Trump campaign.

One U.S. official said that Sessions — who testified that he has no recollection of an April encounter — has provided “misleading” statements that are “contradicted by other evidence.” A former official said that the intelligence indicates that Sessions and Kislyak had “substantive” discussions on matters including Trump’s positions on Russia-related issues and prospects for U.S.-Russia relations in a Trump administration."
Sessions discussed Trump campaign-related matters with Russian ambassador, U.S. intelligence intercepts show

NEXT--ask yourselves--why is this happening NOW?

There has never been a President in this nations history that was so naive and frankly stupid enough to make enemies out of the 3 most powerful agencies in this country. The media, our intelligence agencies and now the DOJ.

The more he calls the media FAKE--the more they will write and report. The more he insults our intelligence agencies by stating Russia is just a "ruse"--the more he implicates himself in a coverup and the deeper they will dig. He has insulted and threatened firings in the DOJ, so they will leak information.

Lately there have been rumors that Trump is considering firing special prosecutor Robert Mueller--so someone within the DOJ--FBI or CIA is leaking information to the Washington Post at this time.

Ambassador Sergey Kislyak term is supposedly over and being recalled to Russa.

Which brings this to mind: Grand Jury was mentioned here.

This statement was made before Robert Mueller was appointed.

I let it run passed Sen. Franken's questioning then I copied the link. My mistake. Sorry.

So where did he say what you claimed?

It is not at 2:30!

Be patient. I said pick it up at 2:30 so you could hear the question as well as the answer.

I watched it. It doesn't say what you claimed.

Franken mentions a CNN story about ongoing contacts between Russia and the Trump campaign. Franken then asks Sessions: "if there is any evidence that anyone affiliated with the Trump campaign communicated with the Russian government in the course of this campaign, what will you do?"

Franken was actually asking Sessions, were he confirmed as attorney general, how he would handle evidence about any communications.

Sessions could have dismissed the question, saying he doesn't want to respond to hypotheticals.

Or, he could have given a generic answer, such as saying that as the nation's top law enforcement officer, he would always want to make sure that the law was followed and that evidence of wrongdoing was properly evaluated.

But he did neither of those things.

Instead, he responded to a question that Franken never asked, about whether he had contact with Russians. "Sen. Franken, I'm not aware of any of those activities," Sessions said.

"I have been called a surrogate at a time or two in that campaign and I did not have communications with the Russians, and I'm unable to comment on it."

The weirdest aspect of Jeff Sessions' answer to Al Franken over Russia contacts

:eusa_liar:

Whether or not you believe Sessions was being honest in his testimony, given that he knew he had met with the Russian ambassador and that this would likely become public at some point, it's weird that he would say something that could come back to haunt him given that he wasn't even pressed into doing so.

This will be revealed as the NEXT bs fake news 'nothing-burger'.

Latest news regarding the Obama attempt to entrap Trump Jr is that Jr released a text message from him to his secretary 10 minutes into the meeting... He asked her to call his cell phone to give him an excuse to walk out of the meeting.

This matches up with meeting attendees reports that Jr walked out of the meeting after approx 10 minutes after getting a phone call...

'Another one bites the dust'...

PAY NO ATTENTION TO THAT MAN BEHIND THE CURTAIN :eusa_clap:

"The Russian active measures campaign may have begun as early as 2015
, when Russian intelligence services launched a series of spear fishing attacks designed to penetrate the computers of a broad array of Washington based Democratic and Republican party organizations, think tanks and other entities. This continued at least through the winter of 2016.

While at first the hacking may have been intended solely for the collection of foreign intelligence. In mid-2016 the Russians weapon eyes the stolen data and used platforms established by the Intel services, such as D.C. leaks in existing third-party channels like WikiLeaks to dump the documents. The stolen documents were almost uniformly damaging to the candidate Putin despised, Hillary Clinton. And by forcing her campaign to constantly respond to the daily drip of disclosures, the releases greatly benefited Donald Trump's campaign.

None of these facts is seriously in question. And they're reflected in the consensus conclusion of our intelligence agencies.

We will never know whether the Russian intervention was determinative in such a close election. Indeed, it is unknowable in a campaign to which so many small changes could have dictated a different result. More importantly, and for the purposes of our investigation, it simply does not matter.

What does matter is this, the Russians successfully meddled in our democracy and our intelligence agencies have concluded they will do so again. Ours is not the first democracy to be attacked by the Russians in this way. Russian intelligence has been simile interfering in the internal and political affairs of our European and other allies for decades.

SCHIFF: What is striking here is the degree to which the Russians were willing to undertake such an audacious and risky action against the most powerful nation on Earth. That ought to be a warning to us that if we thought that the Russians would not dare to so blatantly interfere in our affairs, we were wrong.

And if we do not do our very best to understand how the Russians accomplished this unprecedented attack on our democracy and what we need to do to protect ourselves in the future, we will only have ourselves to blame.

We know a lot about the Russian operation, about the way they amplified the damage their hacking and dumping of stolen documents was causing through the use of slick propaganda like R.T., the Kremlin's media arm. But there is a lot we don't know.

Full transcript: FBI Director James Comey testifies on Russian interference in 2016 election

Most important, we do not yet know whether the Russians have the help of U.S. citizens including people associated with the Trump campaign. Many of the Trump's campaign personnel, including the president himself, have ties to Russia and Russian interests. This is of course no crime. On the other hand, if the Trump campaign or anyone associated with it aided or abetted the Russians, it would not only be a serious crime, it would also represent one of the most shocking betrayals of democracy in history."

What you liberal know-nothings like to pretend is that Sessions was answering as a member of the campaign when he said he had no contacts with the Russians. In his duties as a United States Senator, he had contacts with the Russians, but it was not related to the campaign. Why can't you see the difference?

Franken is a douche bag of the highest order and is an embarrassment to the people of his state. His questions were vague enough to allow him to claim he asked Sessions specific questions, when it is obvious from watching the video that he did not. Had he asked a simple "yes" or "no" question, we would not be having this discussion now, would we?

senator franken asked a simple and appropriate question... sessions tipped his guilty hand and LIED under oath.

ALL good patriots are wondering WHY........... why so many lies and cover-ups related to russian collusion? :eusa_think:

Michael Flynn is pleading the 5th. So what does that mean?

pity you sheeple are SO SHAMELESS at spreading FAKE NEWS for lying weasels who betray their country! :eusa_clap:

Armed Services Committee pokes at Sessions: We don't meet with ambassadors

The way he acted all offended at the accusation. He said it was proposterous! I think when a politician is caught lying (and not about an extra marital affair), we should cut their lying tongues out.

If I were Superman I would fly the liars up 2 miles and drop them.

I wouldn't go that far, but maybe Sessions should bring himself up on charges.
Why do we protect politicians right to lie to us? There should be a punishment for getting caught lying. One they fear getting.

Trump can't just pardon his lying tongue back in his little dweeby lying racist evil selfish mouth
It's called "The First Amendment," dumbass. Only a fascist would want the government deciding who is lying and who is telling the truth. If lying was a crime then both Obama and Hillary would have been in prison long ago.

I marvel at how snowflakes believe Dim politicians don't lie. It's a good indication of just how pathetically stupid they are.
What about getting bush? Did he ever lie? About what?

So Trump has freedom to lie? Seems like every time Republicans lie you blow it off.
When did any snowflake hypocrite in this forum ever criticize a Dim for lying?

It's legal for every politicians to lie, just as it's legal for you to spew the most incredible whoppers into this forum. You should be relieved that lying is not against the law. It's truly sad that you want to return us to a Medieval form of society where you could be burned at the stake for contradicting the established wisdom. People all like to think that they are civilized, but the sad fact is most are little better than the most primative savages. There's a small minority of men who make the world civilized. The rest are dragged along unwillingly. They would be stoning their neighbors tomorrow if the law allowed it.

Yes after Jeff Sessions testimony, I would approve of cutting his tongue out the lying little bastard.

Remember Sessions called any suggestion that he colluded with Russians during the election an “appalling” lie. “Please, colleagues, hear me on this,” he said.

Here are highlights from the nearly three-hour session:

• After coming under fire for failing to disclose his interactions with the Russian ambassador during his confirmation hearing, Mr. Sessions was determined to provide his version of events — and he did not waste any time. “I have never met with or had any conversations with any Russians or any foreign officials concerning any type of interference with any campaign or election in the United States,” he said during his opening statement.

• Mr. Sessions denied meeting with Russian officials at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington in April 2016, adding that he could not “recall” any such private conversations with the Russian ambassador, Sergey I. Kislyak, there. “If any brief interaction occurred in passing with the Russian ambassador, I do not remember it,” he said.

Mr. Sessions made it clear that he did not take kindly to the insinuations and accusations arising from the fact that he previously failed to disclose meetings with Mr. Kislyak. And he came to the committee in large part to defend himself against what he called “an appalling and detestable lie” that he had colluded with Russian officials. “I recused myself from any investigation into the campaign for president, but I did not recuse myself from defending my honor against scurrilous and false accusations,” he said.

Scurrilous?
