"It's not theirs, Its mine"

Charlie at the NYT is wrong....obviously that's why they set up a room at at his house, Obama had one, Bush had one as well....they are allowed to take documents out of the WH complex.

EO are examples of standing orders.....Obama can have one, and Trump can override it...as your own article states, they are all set up on a series of standing orders, that can be overridden by the next guy
Trump, after January 21, 2021, was not President anymore. He was not taking them as Commander in Chief who had to work from whichever home he went to.

His security clearance ended that day.

Only as President, not as a citizen.
oh, i don't disagree that there are records that he had that needed to be turned over to the NARA. Violation of the PRA is however not a crime. It's not uncommon for things not to all be turned over on Jan 20 at 12:01....let's not forget there are plenty of examples, recent ones, where documents took some time to turn over.

Moreover, Trump was complying with their request, turned over 15 boxes, and then gave them complete access to review....well before the Stalinist raid, in which the Xiden admin took way more then Presidential Records, or what they suspected were...

This was clearly a pretextual search, by the Stalinist, to get access to information...including attorney-client priv documents, in attempts to use it against Trump if he runs, this was totally political, and it's crystal clear now by the fact they had to return so much stuff

Ex-Presidentst till have clearance, moreover this stuff wasn't classified...as we have already discussed...Trump had an Order declassifying them.

Trump's lawyer, in June, signed an affidavit saying that there were no more declassified documents knowing that there were more.

We do not know if there were any attorney-client documents. Trump alleges that there were.

All in good time, if any documents are his actual private ones, they will be returned. We are in the middle of a possible long investigation. We shall find out at some point.

Donald Trump was warned that the records he was holding on to were illegally retained, but the former president refused to give them back because he disagreed with that assertion, a new report claims.

The New York Times reported on Tuesday that Mr Trump flat-out refused to return boxes of documents, including some that apparently were marked classified, when approached by his former deputy White House counsel, Patrick Philbin.

And he wasn’t alone – multiple other aides to the president reportedly told him the same thing. But Mr Trump resisted, telling them “it’s not theirs, it’s mine” on several occaisions, referring to the stash of documents.

The new reporting could help the Justice Department prove its case if charges are brought against him for the retention of classified materials, as it demonstrates that Mr Trump could or should have known that what he was doing was criminal in nature.

To be continued.......

Yet maobama kept 30 million pages of documents and no raids on him or the mooches undies. Go freaking figure.

Just a question, Mike. Did you think Nixon should have been able to protect, keep and withhold records of his presidency also? You are no doubt aware of the Presidential Records act of 1978.

G Gordon Liddy was a Special Agent in the FBI and went to prison in that case ... :auiqs.jpg:
Thanks for adding a valid and somewhat relevant point.

No Dem has ever been the kind of threat to th we U.S. that Trump was, and still is.

"On Aug. 30, 2019, top spies learned the dangers of that approach. What unfolded that day became an infamous moment in the Trump presidency — one that former intelligence officials say perfectly illustrated his approach to dealing with state secrets. A former senior intelligence official with firsthand knowledge told NBC News that Trump did indeed tweet a highly classified image taken by a secret spy satellite, as many experts suspected at the time. And in doing so, the official and others said, Trump gave U.S. adversaries keen insights into the U.S. capabilities to spy from above."

What threat was that?

It all depends on the level of clearance and to deal with what kind of information.

There is a procedure to declassify them as I posted earlier. Or anyone would take anything anywhere, lose them, misplace them and no one would ever know that they had been taken to begin with. Not the way to run any Government .

What do you understand from that sentence?
The Chinese have military equipment similar to ours just to start in the integrity game. Why? Who? What? Where? When? No questions for this. For what is in D.C. has given it to them in any means possible.

Explain it to me. I don’t speak demofk.
Instead of making an important photo fogy before posting it on the internet, and being advised to do so, he posted the photo as it was making US adversaries see what was top secret and should have stayed that way.

Yes, he can do whatever he wants, yes. But show US enemies secrets of State on tweeter? What President in any other country would think of doing this?

That cannot be proven. Nothing but too many words put together.

Again, if one is going to make any allegations, show the evidence for it.
