Laws I Would Enact in an Officially Christian United States Government

All those acts harm society as a whole. Government supports atheism increasingly and Christianity decreasingly in terms of laws. I am heartened, however, by our current Supreme Court that has stepped in during the past few months. But I don't think it's enough without a major change in our laws.

More of this vague "it harms us!!" nonsense.

It is unconstitutional to base US laws on religious dogma alone. Unless you can amend the constitution, you may as well be whistling Dixie.

Unmarried sex implies a commitment that isn't there. Statistically, unmarried relationships do not last. So when it unravels, one or both of the parties is damaged because that implied commitment ended up failing. If children are involved, these breakups harm children, which leads to a whole host of problems, including perpetuating the cycle of relationship dysfunction.

Nudity leads to arousal which may well lead to masturbation, which is also disordered. It perverts what should be a powerful committed sharing act into one of selfishness. It turns people inward. People turning inward means they're not giving of themselves to others. It harms the community.

ALL immorality harms all of us.

Here are a few beneficial changes that would be made under a Christian United States government. So many problems would vanish overnight with this legislation. Many more would reduce over time. There could be more. These were just a few things I thought of initially. Really common sense stuff, basically a return to 1950s television, an era when families were stronger and children became independent earlier, and societal norms opposed sex outside marriage. A time when top shows were Donna Reed and Leave it to Beaver. A time when it was the norm to attend church, there were the most priests and sisters and Catholic schools in history.

This could be a reality, folks, if enough of us think about it, work towards it, and pray hard. They never though Roe v Wade would fall, and now look what is happening, so it CAN be done!


In the Schools:
Christian/Catholic sexual morality taught from the earliest grades:
1. Human lives are of supreme importance. Animals are subordinate,
2. Sex is only permissible through marriage
3. Birth control will not be discussed, nor will condoms be distributed in the schools.
4. Sex education would be replaced with sensible teaching on dating which would include recommendations of:
..... a. Relatively early curfew times
..... b. No passionate kissing prior to marriage
.....c. Emphasis on getting to know the other person
.....d. Duggar-style side hugs, rather than frontal.

Ten Commandments, crosses, and crucifixes may be displayed.
School prayer allowed and encouraged.
Christmas may be celebrated. Christian themed decorations may be used
Christian-themed Christmas plays may be performed.
Racist CRT banned.
Prominent Americans returned to the history books. Lives of the greatest canonized saints would be added in order to inspire children.
Christian schools would be strengthened.
All leftwing/ Marxist propaganda removed from schools and universities. Overt Marxists teachers would either reform or be dismissed.
No alcohol allowed in university dorms which house underaged students. (You might be amazed this is allowed in many or most freshman dorms).


In movies and television:

• Nudity is banned.
• Depictions of sex outside marriage banned
• Foul language banned
• Graphic physical harm depictions banned
• Only nuclear family depictions: Parents married.
• Depictions of cohabitation banned.
• Gay sex acts are banned.

In media:
No legislation may be pushed by a news outlet that violates Christian moral teaching. Abortion, rioting, extra rights for gays or trans, pitting women against men may not be advocated. Basically any promotion of the issues Marxist atheists use to divide and undermine the country will be banned.

In commerce and law:
Pornography banned.
Abortion mills illegal.
Mexico City Policy made permanent.
Most government domestic programs will be shut down, and a private sharing program would be established where people send funds directly to those designated in need. This would eliminate large piles of money. This will be the topic of another thread. It is based on charity, rather than coercion. It would also remove power from leftwing politicians
Government photo and/or fingerprint or retinal ID would be used for all voting. No drop boxes. Only verified mail-in voting. Very limited early voting.
Illegal immigration would be stopped cold. Legal immigration requirements would be relaxed for countries for which they are onerous.
Recreational drugs once again illegalized.

Do you like history? If you look at history, you can see the evils a theocracy creates.

Constantine decided to take up the Christian banner as a warrior political figure as he made Christianity the official state religion, even though he himself continued to worship pagan gods. In fact, Constantine murdered his own son and wife, that was the kind of guy he was, so think how he treated others in his kingdom.

And looking at succeeding Popes, their oppression of the Jews, their Inquisitions and subsequent burning people at the stake, their Crusades, etc., we can see who Martin Luther called their bluff about following the teachings of the Bible they supposedly wanted to force everyone else to follow.

And had you ever considered that the people who wanted Christ nailed to the cross the most were the religious leaders of his day?


In fact, Christ made the comment that his kingdom was not of this world, nor could be, as he never sought political office of any kind. In fact, the ancient Hebrew people had a government consisting of only judges to settle disputes within society. That was it. That is God's example of government. But the people wanted to be like all the other nations of the world, with a strong leader king. Just read 1 Samuel 8. God then told his prophet that the people were rejecting him as king, and then provided the people with a myriad of examples as to how that sinful man would inflict harm and oppression on them, but they would not listen and demanded a human king. So God let them have what they asked for. It was not long after that the Israel nation split in two, and then were conquered by both Assyria and Babylon, and the next thing you know they were in the ovens of Nazi Germany. In fact, I often wonder how many Jews supported Hitler because he was a socialist. LOL.

The Founding Fathers also saw the evils of the Church of England being controlled by the state as the state preached from the pulpit. This is why they did not head down the same path. People came to American to escape the persecution coming from the state run church. So what you ended up with was a colonization of people who were in large part very religious. This society they gave birth to wise men who created a wise governing document. These were people who were not forced to be righteous, these were people who were seeking it for themselves. For you see, only a moral people can be free, but you can't force people to want to be moral.

Ben Franklin nailed it on the head when he said, “In these sentiments, sir, I agree to this Constitution, with all its faults, if they are such; because I think a General Government necessary for us, and there is no form of government, but what may be a blessing to the people if well administered; and believe further, that this is likely to be well administered for a course of years, and can only end in despotism, as other forms have done before it, when the people shall become so corrupted as to need despotic government, being incapable of any other.”

Ben was not particularly religious but he understood that if man is to be free, he must be moral or the state will come in and force people to be moral to maintain a civil society. This is why those on the Left are at war with morality in the culture. They know that once men no longer try to regulate their own behavior in a moral fashion, the state will be forced to do it for them.

Put another way, if society has the morality of a prison cell, all that can be done is build a wall around them and hire a warden. A jail cell is the Left wing utopia as everything is free. Your medical is free, shelter is free, food is free, etc. And to top it all off, there are no guns and every day is gay pride day as they are unable the freedom to do anything harmful to the environment. And make no mistake, if the state is taken over by those who claim to be religious, it will be infiltrated by the Left and taken over like they do everything else. This is why we have a Left wing Pope turning a blind eye to the pedophilia in the church as well as giving sermons on the evils of global warming and the evils of building walls, while seemingly ignoring abortion world wide which is by church teachings a mass genocide.

Just a humorous story to share, based upon your rant

Michael Angelo was painting the Sistine Chapel, and when a certain priest came by objected to him panting nudes. Indigent, Michael simply ignored him and continued. I lived with my wife a full year before we married. we have been married for 38 years. we have good friends that are unmarried and have been together over 35 years.

We started with not much, but she worked in retail at the mall and got her Bachelors degree in two years and then a masters in epidemiology public health after that.

She cannot retire for another 8 years and she is younger than me so our plan was to keep our small home (No five acre McMansions) and to be debt free our entire life together. The Condo was for our daughter to live in and appreciating property pays better than money in the bank. Both too conservative to play the stock market etc. But we did buy some gold it has doubled in value. - - - Now our daughter is moving on and her dream is to live in California. That is based on our trip there at 13 when she jumped off a cliff with her instructor of course and para-glided over the Pacific while her nervous mother asked what have we done. That trip cemented our father-daughter relationship like nothing else. She is one of my daughters and I am her dad. One of my daughters was wealthier than me by that time and my other daughter is doing just fine. So our goal was to protect the youngest’s financial security as we watched her grow up. Our second priority was to have rental income to allow my wife to retire the sooner the better and to have passive income so I can retire now, but still be able to afford to take annual trips to EUROPE and other travels we enjoy. All our daughters insist we spend and enjoy our investments and we will. But after I leave a great life behind if something is left for a grandkid great grandkid or ten - I hope they can use it when they start their lives.

That you tried to make wealth and death with belief in Jesus, a character issue, is a bad way to sell what it is you are selling - But that is just my opinion for now.
