Maher goes from being a Lefty to Cons new Hero with one video

This is typical weakness from daveman.

He's the type who always posts Obama's one misspeak, about the 57 states, anytime someone points out the almost daily gaffes from Shrub.

It's as intellectually valid as... well ... daveman.
My goodness, you're a lying sack of shit.

I don't do the 57 states thing. Others do it, and do it well. But I don't.

And if you think Obama's only had one misspeak, you're pretty fucking delusional.

They aren't even close to the same. Maher is funny. And Rush is incorrect.
Good Gaea's garters, no wonder you think Vanelli is a good musician. Your judgement is seriously screwed.

Maher's bitter and hateful. I suppose that's what passes for funny to the far left.

Only through your anti-Democrat, "I'll vote for any Republican" narrow viewpoint.
We've already established your judgment is seriously screwed, so your opinions are therefore safe to immediately discard as worthless.

Drugs, and the war. Why does he need more than that for my statement to be correct?

Also add in assisted suicide and personal privacy. There - that's four off the top of my head.

Err, no, that would make him a liberal. I'm not bashing liberals, I happen to be one, and all that pretty much fits the definition of one.

If he had any issues where he agreed with free market economics, or laissez faire economic policies in addition to the stances you mentioned, then he would be a Libertarian.

Have you gotten your Mittens 2012 bumper stickers and yard signs yet?

I disagree. Legalized drugs, assisted suicide have never been a Democratic Party position, even from leading Liberals like Ted Kennedy, Paul Wellstone, Chuck Schumer, or any others. Perhaps Russ Feingold, but I'll bet not.

And most of the Democrats, including the Liberals, voted for the Patriot Act. In fact, I believe Senator Feingold was the lone 'Nay' in the Senate.

Shows that they dont watch his show in the first place. He an equal opportunity offender. Now the cons are all creaming their pants from his latest video. He went from being like Rush Limbaugh on the left to being the rights new besties...all in 2 weeks.

:clap2:

You obviously don't have a clue. We give the props to Ms Pelosi, not Maher. Bill is still a schill.

The Right is the ones who are pretending Maher is something more than a comedian. Now they are even trying to say David Letterman and Chris Rock is the same as Rush too!

Pathetic

6. "UPS and FedEx are doing just fine, right? It's the Post Office that's always having problems." –attempting to make the case for government-run healthcare, while simultaneously undercutting his own argument, Portsmouth, N.H., Aug. 11, 2009

5. "I think when you spread the wealth around, it's good for everybody." -- defending his tax plan to Joe the Plumber, who argued that Obama's policy hurts small-business owners like himself, Toledo, Ohio, Oct. 12, 2008

4. "The Cambridge police acted stupidly." —commenting on a white police officer's arrest of black scholar Henry Louis Gates Jr. at his home in Cambridge, Mass., at a news conference, July 22, 2009. Obama later had to convene a "Beer Summit" at the White House to help tamp down the controversy stirred by his remark

A lefty with integrity.

Kudos, I didn't think there were any like you left.

Those issues have never been part of the Progressive position.

That's not the same as the Liberal position.

The same goes for the Patriot Act. Progressives supported it, not Liberals.

You would never see Rush tell the other side either. But they all pretend Rush and Maher are the same.

They aren't even close to the same. Maher is funny. And Rush is incorrect.

Yes, Rush stating that a woman who goes in front of Congress to testify that she has a right to force a Catholic institution to provide her free contraception is a slut is the same as Maher accusing Palin of having a child out of incest, and it is funny.

Classless...you are classless.

Flukes testemony did not mention her(or anyones) sex life at all. All elRashibutt did was divert an adult conversation into childish name calling. Nobody wants to talk about womens preventative healthcare (well no one in the MSM). Everybody wants to talk about sluts, el-Rashi-butt, and Bill Maher.

I see no difference between Progressive and Liberal. Progressive is just a term that was latched onto since wingnuts tried to turn Liberal into a dirty word.

I proudly state that I'm a Liberal. I have never called myself a Progressive.

What do you think is the difference?

Progressive is a dirty word.

You're no liberal, you are a leftist. There is nothing even approaching liberal about you.

Thomas Jefferson was a liberal, Hugo Chavez is a leftist.

You have NOTHING in common with "that damned Republican," but you and Hugo see things just the same.

I have never called myself a Progressive.

What do you think is the difference?

Between a Marxist pile of shit and someone dedicated to liberty?

Let me think on that awhile....

Standard Disclaimer: Two points to the one who identifies the damned Republican reference.

Synthia believes all of that -- because Obama said it.

Obama said it, Synthia believes it, that settles it.

Maher is an idiot..

He tries to sound all bi-partisan at times but hes not fooling anyone. That's why he gave a million bucks to Woodrow Wilson II...

There is actually quite a large difference between a Progressive and a Liberal.

A Progressive is actually a statist/totalitarian. I'm honestly not really sure why some left-wing types started using the term, as it can apply just as easily to some right-wingers as it can to left-wingers.

A Liberal is completely different. They can span the gamut from near-Libertarian to near-totalitarian-socialist.

Just like conservatives can span from near-Libertarian to near-fascist-totalitarian.

Honestly, I didn't actually know the true definition of "Progressive", until I went and looked it up rather recently.
