The media and the government would have you believe that we are sending $Billions to Ukraine.

Actually, we are sending weapons, ammunition, and other aid to Ukraine. The money stays here.

Just wanted to clear that up. ;)

America's military leaders will consider that the breaking up of Russia is a good investment for America in the long run.

It can be of no benefit for the remaining Ukrainians.

I never thought it was stacks of greenbacks, but as you said "weapons, ammunition, and other supplies to Ukraine".

Lots of Americans are finding employment here supplying Ukraine.

It's economic idiocy to be spending as much as we are, when we have so many problems we need to worry about here. Russia has spent $9 trillion on their war so far, in spite of the sanctions against them. We're playing a game of "Let's see who can go bankrupt first."

So we destroy Russia's economy, ok. What are the effects that's going to have on the global markets, at a time when we have high inflation and energy instability?

Hasn't our education system prepared us for this?

It just sounds like a dangerous thing to do at this time. Collapsing another country's economy could have some pretty serious global consequences. I have no love for Russian but they do supply much of the world with food and oil. So what happens to those countries who are dependent on them for resources? They starve, which means more political unrest in the world. This whole thing wouldn't have happened under Trump.
