New Gallup Poll: Trump approval in freefall, sinks to 36%

Who cares if Trump has 36% approval

The Freedom Caucus members who told him to go fuck himself on Trumpcare

And it was because trump/ryancare doesn't hurt enough people.

That's what they whined about....cut more taxes and do less for poor people

Make those getting Medicaid have a job........If they had a job, they wouldn't need Medicaid

That's right. I know republicans are generally still in denial about Trump because they lack adequate emotional maturity, but eventually they will have to come to terms with how god awful of a mistake it was to make him president. They cherry pick small things they find positive about Trump's progress, yet will ignore all of the overwhelmingly bad shit Trump has been involved with. It's really just them deluding themselves with profound willful ignorance.

This piece of objective data should make them rethink Trump, but it of course won't.

Only twice has Obama's approval rating been as low as 38% for Gallup polls. The first time was 3 years into his presidency. Trump's approval rating is now 36% for Gallup - a mere two months into his presidency.

Gallup: Trump’s approval rating is lower than Obama’s ever was

Why Trump’s approval ratings don’t matter

This points out something the media and political pundits can't stand. While the president's numbers appear to be low, that's only in big cities and on college campuses. Everywhere else – where it counts – he's doing just fine.

And, in all likelihood, that effervescent support will continue for a very long time. Why? Because the people who live in those outer rings of cities aren’t just separated by geography; they’re separated by culture, traditions and aspirations that differ from those of their city cousins.

They also are so tired of being ridiculed by the political class over the notion they’re digging in for Trump, more so than they normally would. Especially when they read (yes, they do read) columns in New York Magazine by former theater critic Frank Rich who takes a deep swipe at Trump’s base, writing: “While you can’t blame our new president for loving ‘the poorly educated’ who gave him that blank check, the rest of us are entitled to abstain. If we are free to loathe Trump, we are free to loathe his most loyal voters, who have put the rest of us at risk.”

Liberals do love their polls. As do I. It makes reality so much more painful for them.

There's a lot of assumptions you are making there.. not the least of which is that all of the 46% who voted for Biff are that committed to him.

There were people who still liked Nixon after he resigned... but resign he did.

This is a bogus poll. It is no more accurate than the polls during the pre-election. The people who like Donald Trump happen to work and are not home during the daytime like the deadbeats who have nothing else to do but to answer polls that are negative towards President Trump.
Oh? How inaccurate was Gallup in the election polls?

Great, another fool who doesn't understand scientific polling. Meanwhile, the polls, on average, were only one point off in their prediction that Hillary would win the popular vote.

Why on earth would any sensible person think that Donald Trump's 'real' approval was any better than the polls show?

First of all, the 'only poll that matters' as some like to say, the election, showed his 'approval' at 46%,

and since the election he's hardly done anything to bring more people on board, and he's certainly done things to lose his own supporters.

Common sense tells you the polls are getting it right.

Oh, Ok, that's how you guys are playing this now...
the polls were not indictors who would win the election
but, who would win the PV

Got it... or, as Steve Harvey would say...
Survey says....
