No Tax on Tips is a brilliant political strategy i.e. Trump relates to the rank and file

What the fuck are you posting about. If I have a take on this, it's Trump is as irresponsible as Biden ... or maybe it's Biden's as irresponsible was was Trump. lol
I don't care about your 'take'. The problem is never about how much money you steal from the people, but how much of the people's money you spend. Responsible governance begins with limiting the amount of money the government can spend. That's something liberals will never understand.

It's sort of like casino winnings. You can win hundreds or thousands of dollars at the poker or blackjack or craps tables or whatever and not owe a dime in taxes. But if you win $1,000 or more at a time on the machines you owe taxes. It's really dumb.

I suppose that $25 chip you toss to the blackjack dealer now and then is taxable for him or her. I suppose the expected tip the folks who bring your machine winnings to you are taxable too. I wonder how many of those are reported though. It is so based on the honor system there are huge opportunities to cheat. Doing away with the tax on tips for everybody would restore a lot of honesty, integrity, and reduce stress to society I think as well as benefit those who do report their tips.
Do you folks believe the tooth fairy is going to work out the deficits.

Fuck you al. you sure as hit have a take on my take. And your's sucks.

Happy now.

Thats a different subject than whether paying taxes on tips is anything other than paying taxes on income. It's no different than the steel worker who pays taxes on his wages. There isnt some magical carve out for 25% of his income that's non taxable.
Thank you for not denying the income tax is the worst tax on Americans.

His "No Tax on Tips" is not only a winning campaign slogan, but it is brilliant. And illustrates Trump's greatest strength which is his ability to relate to the rank and file American who is not blessed with great wealth.

Trump supporters don't care that he is a multi-billionaire but see him as one who had far less than a billion starting out and made his fortune building things, hiring people, contributing to the economy instead of by running hedge funds or getting rich in government. It is his ability to relate to the common man that draws tens of thousands to his rallies.

I don't know who will win come November.

But it should be Trump for the good of America. For the good of Americans.

Great strategy.

Almost as good as less expensive medical care for all.

Germans do not tip waiters.
As I posted, the U.S. is pretty unique with their tipping custom. And good servers don't want to change our system because almost all earn much more in tips than any restaurant would likely pay in salary.

I always loved working on commission for the same reason. By doing a good job, being effective and having a strong work ethic, I could usually out earn most or all of my colleagues. And I couldn't be underpaid and making extra effort put more money in my pocket, usually enough to offset the benefits and perks I gave up to work on commission.

Then you haven't voted for anybody for decades.

It's not a partisan problem, except the gop dumps debt on my house to give millionaires more of a tax cut than me, and the dems give money to those who have less than me, and dump debt on my house.

true---but it won't work
My gut suggests it won't work too. But I like to keep an open mind on these things and be flexible enough to be persuaded if somebody I trust can give me good enough argument to be convincing.

I have paid commissions to sales people that amounts to a fortune.
I was engaged in 1963 to marry a German woman I met in Berlin. We traveled a bit prior to my departure from Germany. It was at Heidelberg we stopped for a meal and I tipped the waiter. She was angry that I tipped him. She told me his service sucked.

Sounds to me like you hate taxes.

I've been to Heidelberg. Beautiful city.

You are correct on tips. I work with a person who grew up in Czech and they say tipping is rare.

That said, why was included in this post?

My nurse daughter earns pretty close to a hundred thousand a year. She said she makes less now than when she was a waitress.
