Now white conservatives can understand how Blacks feel about the justice system.

It's not normal for people to be able to feel much empathy for those who are different from them. This is universally true.

In America, whites, and especially white conservatives, don't really appreciate what is was like to be Black before the Civil Rights Revolution fifty years ago, and especially what it was like to be Black in the South. And even if they do, many of them assume it's totally different now.

I don't want to start an argument about this here (elsewhere, sure) but there is still 'statistical racism' in the US: if a policeman pulls over a car with a dead tail light, and the occupants are young Black males, they will be treated differently than if they were white. There's a valid reason for this, but if you're one of those young Black males, it might not cut much ice with you at the time.

And if you're Black, in front of an all-white jury and a white judge, you won't be crazy to think that your skin color is going to play a role in what happens.

Individuals acting in a private capacity are one thing. But the law is supposed to treat us all equally, regardless of our race, sex, or political affiliation.

But this is not always the case. Long ago, in Houston, an acquaintance of mine named Lee Otis Johnson, a Black militant who was a thorn in the side of the police, gave an undercover policeman a marijuana cigaratte ... was arrested ... was sentenced to, wait for it .... thirty years in prison. All following the letter of the law. He served four before a higher court overturned the sentence. [ Black Panther Gets 30 Years for One Joint (1968) – Hippyland ]

Equal treatment? Things have improved a lot, with respect to race and the law, but they started from a very low base. (The one area where 'Critical Race Theory', which used to be called 'Critical Legal Theory', had a point, was in the way the law could appear to be race-neutral, but in fact was not neutral. (More about that here: [ Critical Race Theory Wasn’t Always Like This ] )

Now, we're finding out what it's like when the letter of the law is followed, but the acutal application of it is unequal. Does anyone believe that if Mr Trump had continued as a Democrat, that he would now be facing felony charges? When I see pious Democrats being interviewed saying 'No one is above the law' I don't know whether to laugh or cry. Come on! Are you kidding me? Hunter Biden is not only 'high', he's high above the law.

Unequal treatment before the law, while following the letter of the law, is now going to be applied to white conservatives. We're going to get to feel what it's like. There are two positive results from this: (1) it will wake up more of our people (and maybe some others as well) as to what is happening to America, and (2) it may make us a bit more understanding of how that young Black man being pulled over for a dead tail light feels.
Black people commit a shitload of crime. Their reason for not liking the justice system is different from ours.

The inversion of the 'Left' and 'Right' is really astonishing to me. I'm old enough to remember when the Right practically worshipped the FBI and CIA (with the exception of Southern racists, who were actually surprised when the FBI began going after them in the early 60s), and the Left hated them with a passion.

I don't watch SNL, although I've seen some of Dave Chapelle's monologues, which are very funny. (There's a theory about comedians, which is that they have to be outsiders, people who don't totally fit in and benefit from the existing system, which would explain why so many good comedians are Jewish or Black.)
Well, when the FBI starts coming after your party, it tends to make a lot of people angry. Do i really need to list all the shit that theyve been caught doing to Trump, the GOP and Trump supporters?

The CIA flooded the streets with drugs in the '80s and '90s and then Poppy Bush and his boy Slick Willy in Arkansas beefed up the police & started locking everyone up.

What are grown men who claim they don’t have enough money to pay child support doing buying illegal drugs in the first place? It’s their decision to break drug laws and throw out money when they have responsibilities they are shirking.

Then tell Trump to stop breaking the law.

When Rush Limbaugh goes to the same prison a poor drug abuser goes, get back to me.

Yeah.....um....no.
Well, perhaps 'accessories' is an over-statement. But I have always been struck by the photographs of white crowds, grinning away while some poor Black man is burned alive ... cutting pieces of his body off to take home as souvenirs ... completely unafraid to be photographed at these events.

Now, the lynch victim may have been guilty of the crime he was accused of. But we have a court system to deal with accused people ... and in the America of that time, a guilty Black was very unlikely to be let off by a jury or lenient judge. Plus ... how many whites who raped or murdered a Black person were lynched?

You may say, that's all in the past. And it is, in America -- although lynching occurs fairly frequently in India against their racial minorities. But don't expect Blacks to just forget about it, and 'let bygones be bygones'. Are Jews expected to forget the Holocaust?

Yes, demagogues and hustlers will exploit this issue. The victim mentality is the worst mental attitude anyone can have. But white conservatives need to understand the reality of American history.

It's a bad strategy to just say, "Blacks commit a lot of crime." We have to propose a way forward.
One of those ways is School Choice -- which is popular with many Blacks who want their children to escape the dire government school system.

There are many Black organizations trying to deal with the problems of the Black ghetto, via job training, strengthening the family ... in fact, about a third of Blacks consider themselves 'conservative' ... by which they mean they're religious, they support family values, etc. However, only about a third of this third vote Republican ... although Trump has made inroads into the Black community. But many of these Black self-identified conservatives don't see the Republican Party as on their side. And judging from some of the comments here, on a personal level, they're right: would they feel welcome at a Republican Party meeting with some of the people here who use words like 'darkies'?

We've got to treat politics like war. It's not an opportunity to express your emotions. We have to reach into all minority communities, because we know that a strong America, based on the free market, with law and order ... is the way forward for everyone.

That's why people were pissed when the FBI deliberately swung the 2016 election to Trump. The FBI was wildly pro-Republican. They're a little better now, but they've still got a long way to go.

That's what happens when the right declares they want to kill the FBI for not being quite fascist enough. Law enforcement in general is figuring out that sucking up to Republicans just gets them murdered by brownshirt thugs.

School Choice is an illusion, Fake Hippy Doug.

Here's why it won't work.

1) The reason parochial schools worked is because parents HAD a personal investment. My parents spent their own money to send me to Catholic School, they had an investment in me doing my homework and doing well. (I wish they hadn't sometimes, it made my childhood miserable.) You give someone a voucher, they aren't going to suddenly care a little more.

2) Once you've put vouchers out there, then what's to keep the people CURRENTLY going to private or parochial schools from applying for them and getting them. This means you are going to have to set aside money to pay for those kids as well.

3) The other problem is that once you have private schools who are being measured on success, there will be the temptation to cherry pick their students. Little Timmy has a learning disability? We don't want him! Little Jamal running with the wrong crowd. We don't want him, either. Little Maria needs ESL instructors?

So you will still end up with multi-tiered system. The kids with affluence and promise go to the really good schools. The kids who have talent end up in the Charter schools, and the ones who are difficult will end up in the schools no one cares about.

(Wafting for FHD to start whining I won't let him Doxx me.)

I'm not sure of your point here. Could you elaborate a bit?
I am not responsible for individual cops who may or may not have a legit reason to stop a black guy

Or an employer who has had a bad experience with a black person and prefers to hire other races instead

Private Individuals in society may not treat other races fairly - and that cuts both ways though libs are loathe to admit it

But when the left gets control of government and uses that power to harass whites thats s public policy issue that I wont tolerate

Just as America did not tolerate Jim Crow, reverse payback jim crow against whites is no better

The FBI had no idea hillary could lose

In their evil minds they were just reminding the future first female pres who the real boss is

In an open carry state? Why is that justified?

Are you saying its legal to just open fire on someone who is open carrying?

Do you know what happened in that case?

I know exactly what happened. The officers pulled up on the suspect and he drew an exact replica of a gun on them and the officer fired in self defense.

Is this your way of admitting that the left are abusing their powers to get Trump?

You just said that "most blacks folks" don't know what it was like before the Civil Rights Act..I just told you that they do..the fact you can't refute that is a personal problem....

and you are trying to claim this on a post claiming that wealthy white men are oppressed because your cult leader got indicted...yall are clowns.....

There is a huge difference between eras. I am not stating everything is peaches and cream. The power fiefdoms like police can remove the pursuit of happiness and turn it into personal hate. That has to be experienced and not hearsay. I am not saying white wealthy men are oppressed. Many of them spout Prog Socialist way of living sayings while living the ultimate capitalist degenerate ways for themselves.
