Nonsense, there is a direct correlation between Islamic religiosity (particularly in Afghanistan) and what you would probably call "Islamic extremism/fundamentalism". In other words, the more religious a Mohamedan, the more likely he or she is to be sympathetic to Jihad (and not the fake CAIR Jihad about losing weight or passing one's MCATs). Therefore, more religious school in Afghanistan (especially under the auspices of the Taliban) will necessarily lead to continues "Islamic extremism/fundamentalism" in the country, of the variety we regularly see in many Muslim majority societies: mass murder bombings in markets, IEDs at competing mosques, beheadings in the street, acid thrown in the faces of little schoolgirls, and all the other blessings of puritanical Islam.

Division isn't inherently a problem. We're all divided along different lines, religion, ethnicity, race, education, interests, etc. The problem is with what you mentioned above, which is the character of the division created by Islamic schools of the Taliban variety. As you've said, they promote Jihad against the infidels, and the usual mass murder terrorism that is a staple of Islamism.

Don't use the term "Madrassah", which is associated with Islam and by extension contemporary terrorism, with Jewish schools of the secular or religious variety.
