Obama supporters, your long night watch is almost over, lay down your burden...

Most people are not working by choice? .

Table A-1. Employment status of the civilian population by sex and age
Adult Civilian nonistitutional population: 254,742,000
Working: 152,385,000
Not working but looking for work (aka "unemployed"): 7,170,000
Not working or looking for work (not in the labor force): 95,774,000
Not in the labor force and wants a job now: 5,524,000

So out of 103 million not working, 12,619,000 want a job, and 90,325,000 do not.

More details on those not in the labor force: A-38. Persons not in the labor force by desire and availability for work, age, and sex
LOL by desire. Record number couldn't find a job because they wanted to? Damn, that must be some strong coolaid you guys are drinking.

Record 95,102,000 Americans Not in Labor Force; Number Grew 18% Since Obama Took Office in 2009

When President Obama took office in January 2009, 80,529,000 Americans were not in the labor force.. That number rose steadily during his two terms, reaching a record 95,055,000 in November 2016, then setting a record (95,102,000) in December.

According to BLS, total nonfarm payroll employment rose by a lackluster 156,000 in December.

Quoting CNS is the mark of the World Class Simpleton....

156,000 is "lackluster"?

What percentage of months between Feb 2001 and Feb 2009 saw larger numbers?

What do you mean "couldn't find a job?" Not in the Labor Force simply means that the person is not working and not currently looking for work. We're talking 50 million disabled and people over, 14 million full time students. Add in stay home spouses, independently wealthy, early retirees.

It isn't only CNS there are whole slew of legit, objective financial outlets that have said the exact same thing. You just can't handle the truth. Hillary failed mainly because Obama's legacy was totally rejected. Your adoration for the leftie messiah ends January 20. Buy your Kleenex by the case pack.

Then you would have cited them......not the virtual budgie liner on which you rely.

But you won't....... Because this is a statistic entirely of CNS' invention.

Which you would know........if you weren't entirely ignorant.

Let's dispense with this Idiocy now....

You want people to believe that 90 million are "out of work"..... At some point they must have been working...
there are at this time roughly 140 million working....if what you say is true, at some point substantially more Americans must have been employed...

Show me the time that even 155 million were....

Do you have any idea where to look?

There are 152 million in the workforce today out of a population of 325 million

What is Trump going to do about all those babies, stay at home moms and 80 year old freeloaders who refuse to work?

50 million disabled and people age 65+. 14 million full time students age 16-24. That's 2/3s of those Not in the Labor Force in just 3 groups. There is no more recent data, but the average in 2015 was 25.7 million married women Not in the Labor Force, 7.8 million of whom had children under 18.

Why does it seem strange to you that all these people are choosing not to work? Why do you think millions are not trying to work (less than half a million say it's because they're discouraged)?
