I think that MOST workers would be better served by a private unemployment insurance system.

Even so, since I've paid in for 35 years without taking out - I would definitely not hesitate in taking a claim out.

Where do you get that job? When I worked as an hourly employee I was paid for each hour that I worked. When salaried, the base pay was calculated on me working 40 hours a week. I am not sure, but are there any salaried positions that are based on a 29 hour week?
