It is written: And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony, and they loved not their lives unto the death.

And in nothing be terrified by your adversaries: which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that of God.

What does this mean? It means that the Christians fearlessness is a sign of our salvation while the children of darkness are fearful which is a sign of their destruction.

( the wicked flee when no one is chasing them but the righteous are as bold as a lion )

That is your opinion, Vandal but if you'll look at the OP and the outreaches of almost 2 million people at attending at one time at the Bonnke Crusades? The evidence says you are wrong. If we look at the book of Acts? The bible says you are wrong too. We'll leave it at that because I'm preparing to put up the Word of God here and continue with the Book of Acts bible study. I'd like to ask you to please respect this is the Lords Day and we're having a reading of the Word of God. I've never tried to derail or destroy one of your threads and I'd appreciate it if you would reciprocate that respect to me by letting me continue without the personal attacks and insults against the Holy Spirit and His Working of Miracles. Okay? Thanks.

p.s. if you'd like to personally attack me by email? I'll be happy to read all your emails and respond kindly to you but not here and not now. thanks for understanding. Sincerely, Jeri

I does not work that way Jeri. You are on a public message board, and can expect others to comment on your posts. I respect you, Jeri, and do not sling insults at you just to piss you off. I tell you what I think, having read your posts. Actually, I have been extremely restrained in my comments about your religious beliefs. I know that If I really told you what I thought about them, then it would be needlessly hurtful, and disrespectful. If you want to preach to the "Amen" pew, without negative reaction, you should confine your preaching to church.

Do you know how many people I led to the Lord in the past several days, Hobelim? Not counting those who have and are rededicating their lives to Christ? No, you don't. And you won't know either. ! ha! ha! I'll tell you this. It was more than one and I don't give names of people who are saved. EVER. Why? Because it is their private business and it is far better for those who accept the LORD to tell a next door neighbor about their salvation than someone on a message board whose agenda is to rob people of their faith! My advice to people reading Pentacostal Fire is to tell your own family members and people you know in your community. Tell the church you join! The Pastor of the church! Tell the corner grocery man! Make it real! Enjoy your new life in Christ! :eusa_angel:

The song Victory is mine? That song belongs to the born again believer! Hallelujah! People who have never seen this board before and are hearing this message for the first time are being saved, healed and delivered! I'm excited for the work the Holy Spirit is doing in this hour!

I'm a street preacher type of gal and go where the lost are, Vandal. I appreciate your reply, Vandal. While you are right that it is a public message board I believe if you had a case you'd state it instead of resorting to the other but you do whatever you feel you must. I'm fine with it. I've opted out on the report, complaint and ignore features of this board because I do want everyone to hear the Word of God. If you were not here you would not be able to hear it! So I am glad you are here this morning! Bless you! :eusa_angel:

I'd be careful about anointing yourself as Benny Hinn lite.

People get it, Christianity is a proselytizing religion. I think peopke also get that in the West, religion can also be a personal and private matter without the need to use your belief like a bloody truncheon to browbeat and intimidate.

There is a certain stereotype of the "in your face zealot" and when your every waking moment involves hurling your bibles at people, you've crossed a line from the believer to the intransigent (and possibly dangerous) crank.

For those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior - these songs are for you!

Blessed is the man who walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season. His leaf also shall not wither, and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

It is written:

And the apostles and brethren that were in Judaea heard that the Gentiles had also received the word of God.

And when Peter was come up to Jerusalem, they that were of the circumcision contended with him, Saying, Thou wentest in to men uncircumcised, and didst eat with them.

But Peter rehearsed the matter from the beginning, and expounded it by order unto them, saying,
I was in the city of Joppa praying: and in a trance I saw a vision, A certain vessel descend, as it had been a great sheet, let down from heaven by four corners; and it came even to me: Upon the which when I had fastened my eyes, I considered and saw fourfooted beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of air.

And I heard a voice saying unto me, Arise, Peter, slay and eat.

But I said, Not so, Lord; for nothing common or unclean hath at any time entered into my mouth. But the voice answered me again from heaven, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.

And this was done three times: and all were drawn up again into heaven.

And, behold, immediately there were three men already come unto the house where I was, sent from Caesarea unto me.

And the spirit bade me go with them, nothing doubting, Moreover these six brethren accompanied me, and we entered into the man's house:
And He shewed us how he had seen an angel in his house, which stood and said unto him, Send men to Joppa, and call for Simon, whose surname is Peter;

Who shall tell thee words, whereby thou and all thy house shall be saved.

And as I began to speak the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning. Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.

Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as he did unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God?

When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.

Acts 11: 1 - 18

This is where we left off last night so we will begin today with Acts 11: 19...

It is written:

Now they that were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose about Stephen travelled as far as Phenice and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to none but the Jews only. And some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene, which, when they were come to Antioch, spake unto the Grecians, preaching the Lord Jesus.

And the hand of the Lord was with them: and a great number believed, and turned unto the Lord. Then tidings of these things came unto the ears of the church which was in Jerusalem: and they sent forth Barnabas, that he should go as far as Antioch. Who when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord.

For he was a good man, and full of the Holy Ghost and of faith; and much people was added unto the Lord. Then departed Barnabus to Tarsus, for to seek Saul: And when he found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

And in these days came prophets from Jerusalem to Antioch.

And they stood up one of them named Agabus, and signified by the spirit that there should be great dearth throughout the world: which came to pass in the days of / Claudius Caesar.

Then the disciples, every man according to his ability, determined to send relief unto the brethren which dwelt in Judaea:

Which also they did, and sent it to the elders by the hands of Barnabus and Saul.

-Acts 11: 19 - 30

It is written:

Now about that time Herod the king stretched forth his hand to vex certain of the church. And he killed James the brother of Jesus with the sword.

And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also. ( THEN WERE THE DAYS OF UNLEAVENED BREAD )

And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quarternions of solders to keep him: intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people.

Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made unto God for him. And when Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains: and the keepers before the door kept the prison.

And behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands.

And the angel said unto him, Gird thyself, and bind on thy sandals. And so he did. And he saith unto him, Cast thy garment about thee, and follow me.

And he went out, and followed him; and wist not that it was true which was done by the angel; but thought he saw a vision.

When they were past the first and second ward, they came upon an iron gate that leadeth unto the city; which opened to them of his own accord: and they went out, and passed on through one street; and forewith the angel departed from him.

And when Peter was come to himself, he said, Now I know of a surety, that the Lord hath sent his angel, and hath delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and from all the expectation of the people of the Jews.

And when he had considered the thing, he came to the house of Mary the mother of John, whose surname was Mark; where many were gathered together praying. And as Peter knocked at the door of the gate, a damsel came to hearken, named Rhoda.

And when she knew Peter's voice, she opened not the gate for gladness, but ran in, and told how Peter stood before the gate.

And they said unto her, Thou art mad.

Bus she constantly affirmed that it was even so.

Then said they, It is his angel.

But Peter continued knocking: and when they had opened the door, and saw him, they were astonished.

But he, beckoning unto them with the hand to hold their peace, declared unto them how the Lord had brought him out of prison. And he said, Go shew these things unto James, and to the brethren. And he departed, and went to another place.

Now as soon as it was day, there was no small stir among the soldiers, what was become of Peter.

And when Herod had sought for him, and found him not, he examined the keepers, and commanded that they should be put to death. And he went down from Judaea to Caesarea and there abode.

And Herod was highly displeased with them of Tyre and Sidon: but they came with him one accord to him, and having made Blastus the king's chamberlain their friend, desired peace; because their country was nourished by the king's country.

And upon a set day Herod, arrayed in royal apparel, sat upon his throne, and made an oration unto them.

And the people gave a shout, saying, It is the voice of a god, and not of a man.

And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost.

But the word of God grew and multiplied.

And Barnabus and Saul returned from Jerusalem, when they had fulfilled their ministry, and took with them John, whose surname was Mark.

Acts 12: 1 - 25

It is written:

Now there came in the church that was in Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabus, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch and Saul.

As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabus and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them. And when they had fasted and prayed they layed their hands upon them, they sent them away.

So they, being sent forth by the Holy Ghost, departed unto Selucia, and from thence they sailed to Cyprus. And when they were in Salamis, they preached the word of God in the synagogue of the Jews: and they had also John to their minister.

Acts 13: 1 - 5

It is written:

And when they had gone through the isle of Paphos, they found a certain sorcerer, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name was Bar-jesus.

Which was with the deputy of the country, Sergius Paulius, a prudent man, who called for Barnabus and Saul, and desired to hear the word of God.

But Elymas the sorcerer ( for so his name by interpretation ) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith.

Then Saul, ( who also is called Paul ) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him, And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all unrighteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?

And now, behold, the hand of the Lord, is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season.

And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand.

Then the deputy, when he saw what was done, believed, being astonished at the doctrine of the Lord.

Acts 13: 6 - 12

It is written:

Now Paul and his company loosed from Paphos, they came to Perga in Pamphylia: and John departing from them returned to Jerusalem.

But when they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and sat down. And after the reading of the law and the prophets the rulers of the synagogue sent unto them, saying, Ye men and brethren, if ye have any word of exhortation for the people, say on.

Then Paul stood up, and beckoning with his hand said, men of Israel, and ye that fear God, give audience.

The God of this people and Israel chose our fathers, and exalted the people when they dwelt as strangers in the land of Egypt, and with an high arm brought them out of it. And about that time of forty years suffered he their manners in the wilderness.

And how he had destroyed seven nations in the land of Chanaan, he divided their land to them by lot. And after that he gave unto them judges about the space of four hundred and fifty years, until Samuel the prophet.

And afterward they desired a king: and God gave unto them Saul the son of Cis, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, by the space of forty years. And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king, to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after thine mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.

Of this man's seed hath God according to his promise raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus:

When John had first preached before his coming the baptism of repentance to all the people of Israel.

And as John fulfilled his course, he said, "Whom think ye that I am? I am not he. But, behold, there cometh one after me, whose shoes of his feet I am not worthy to loose.

Men and brethren, children of the stock of Abraham, and whosoever among you feareth God, to you is the word of this salvation sent.

For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of the prophets which are read every sabbath day, they have fulfilled them in condemning him.

And though they found no cause of death in him, yet they desired Pilate that he should be slain.

And when they had fulfilled all that was written of him, they took him down from the tree, and laid him in a sepulchre.

But God raised him from the dead: And he was seen many days of them which came up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are his witnesses unto the people. And we declare unto you glad tidings, how that the promise which was made unto the fathers, God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second Psalm, Thou art my Son, this day I have begotten thee.

And as concerning that he raised him up from the dead, now no more to return to corruption, he said on this wise, I will give you the sure mercies of David.

Wherefore he saith also in another Psalm, Thou shalt not suffer thy Holy One to see corruption.

For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell on sleep, and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption: But he, whom God raised again, saw no corruption.

Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:

And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.

Beware therefore, lest that come upon you, which is spoke of in the prophets:

Behold, ye despisers, and wonder, and perish: for I work a work in your days, a work which ye shall in no wise believe, though a man declare it to you.

And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath. Now when the cogregation was broken up, many of the Jews and religious prselytes followed Paul and Barnabus; who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God.

And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God.

But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy, and spake against those things which were spoken by Paul contradicting and blaspheming.

Acts 13: 13- 45

It is written:

Then Paul and Barnabus waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the gentiles.

For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation to the ends of the earth.

And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed. And the word of the Lord was published throughout all the region.

But the Jews stirred up the devout and honourable women, and the chief men of the city, and raised persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them out of their coasts.

But they shook off their feet against them, and came unto Iconium. And the disciples were filled with joy, and with the Holy Ghost.

Acts 13: 46 - 52

It is written:

And it came to pass in Iconium, that they went both together into the synagogue of the Jews, and so spake, that a great multitude both of the Jews and of the Greeks believed.

But the unbelieving Jews stirred up against the Gentiles, and made their minds evil affected against the brethren. Long time therefore abode they speaking boldly in the Lord, which gave testimony unto the word of his grace, and granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands.

But the multitude of the city was divided: and part held with the Jews, and part with the apostles.

And when there was an assault made both of the Gentiles, and also of the Jews with their rulers, to use them spitefully, and to stone them.

They were ware of it and fled to Lystra and Derebe, cities of Lycaonia, and unto the region that lieth round about:

And there they preached the gospel.

Acts 14: 1 - 7

It is written:

And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother's womb, who never had walked:

The same heard Paul speak: who steadfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed, Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked. And when the people saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices, saying in a speech of Lycaonia, The gods are come down to us in the likeness of men.

And they called Barnabas, Jupiter; and Paul, Mercurius, because he was the chief speaker.

Then the priest of Jupiter, which was before their city, brought oxen and garlands unto the gates, and would have done sacrifice to the people.

Which when the apostles, Barnabas and Paul, heard of, they rent their clothes, and ran in among the people, crying out, And saying, Sirs, why do ye do these things?

We are also men of like passions with you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these vanities unto the living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein.

Who in times past suffered all nations to walk in their own ways.

Nevertheless he left not himself without witness, in that he did good, and gave us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.

And with these sayings scarce restrained they the people, that they had not done sacrifice to them.

And there came hither certain Jews from Antioch and Iconium, who persuaded the people and, having stoned Paul, drew him out of the city, supposing he was dead. Howbeit, as the disciples stood round about him, he rose up, and came into the city: and the next day he departed with Barnabas to Derbe.

And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had taught many, they returned again to Lystra, and to Iconium, and to Antioch.

Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter the kingdom of God.

Acts 14: 8 - 22

It is written:

And when they had ordained them elders in every church, and had prayed with fasting, they commended to the Lord, on whom they believed.

And after they had passed throughout Pisidia, they came to Pamphylia. And when they had preached the word in Perga, they went down into Attalia:

And thence sailed to Antioch, from whence they had been recommended to the grace of God for the work which they fulfilled.

And when they were come, and had gathered the church together, they rehearsed all that God had done with them, and how he had opened the door of faith unto the Gentiles. And there they abode long time with the disciples.

- Acts 14: 23 - 28
