In a Fox News survey, two-thirds of Americans said they would "defy" a federal gun ban and keep their guns if the government ever passed a law to "take your guns."
The survey asked respondents, "If the government passed a law to take your guns, would you give up your guns or defy the law and keep your guns?"
Sixty-five percent of those surveyed said they would "defy the law." Specifically, 70% of Republicans, 68% of conservatives, 52% of Democrats, and 59% of liberals said they would "defy" a federal gun ban to keep their guns.

First, an assault weapon is not a real gun classification. We are talking about semi automatic rifles. Second, there is a whole list now "banned" from sale or possesion, unless you already own it. Thus those guns are now "BANNED" from me owning them, as I did not own them before the law went into effect. This also applies to alot of semi automatic pistols, which I am now BANNED from owning, despite me having a clean record, which other grandfathered in legal owners have as well.
Next, you have to either turn in or sell out of state every magazine over 7 rounds. If the gun you have came with and is desgined for a magazine over 7 rounds, you now have to find a guy to fabricate you a 7 round mag, or young gun is now effectively a crappy club.
This is not going house to house grabbing the guns, but my makeing them unusable legally, you HAVE effecitvely confiscated it, if the person does not want to break the law.
And THIS is why gun owners and gun rights supporters hate gun grabbing bastards, because they keep trying end run shit. Mostly because they know what they really want (gun confiscation by force) is unworkable, AT THE CURRENT TIME.

My only interest is society prevents dangerous weaponry getting into the hands of a criminal and if you become a criminal, then society will prevent you from having weapons.
