Trump is a disaster and a great lesson to all who observe. The lesson being that politics is a profession best left to the professionals. The sooner this fucking idiot is removed from office either by ballot, impeachment or term limits, the better off this nation and the world will be.

Iā€™m more apt to agree with your first point. Trump and his supporters are only about sticking it to people. Nothing else.
There would be no trump if there was no Obamaā€¦ Karma is a bitch live with it bedwetter

Thatā€™s probably true. Guys like you canā€™t stand that a black man was elected so naturally all of the support would flow to a racist xenophobe as soon as it could.

When you have to resort to the tired line "you hate Obama because he's black", that's a sure sign you've lost the argument.

When you attribute one Presidency for being responsible for another presidency, thats a sure sign you donā€™t have an argument to start with.
What?

He shit all over the constitution. Defied the supreme court, jailed journalists and civilians for not breaking any laws, sent his goons to rob and pillage. Good gawd, i could go on and on

Of course that largely happened when there was an actual invasion taking place.
And they were not nannies or gardeners; they were carrying rifles and shooting.

I would gladly take a disaster like that in future elections than having a winner like Obama.

A democracy is when the voters controls the govts

And yes they do with their voting

It's not a immediate democracy. But it is a democracy

Today we have a much wider democracy than the founders who would not let the unwise vote

This is the same

A RED FORD CAR

A constitutional republic democracy

I'm sorry, but you're misinformed.

My two takeaways from reading "Ship of Fools" are:

1. Tucker nailed Trump's 2016 win:
"Trump might be vulgar and ignorant, but he wasn't responsible for the many disasters America's leaders created. He didn't open the borders, or sit idly by as manufacturing sector collapsed and the middle class died.
Trump's election wasn't about Trump. It was a throbbing middle finger in the face of America's ruling class (the Establishment of BOTH parties). It was a gesture of contempt, a howl, a rage, the end result of of decades of selfish decisions made by selfish leaders of both parties.
In retrospect, the lesson was "Ignore voters for long enough and you get Donald Trump". Yet the people the message was aimed at never received it. Instead of pausing, listening, thinking, and changing, America's ruling class withdrew. They explained away their loss with theories as implausible as:
1. Trump lost the popular vote, so he's really illigitamate
2. Trump won because of fake news and propaganda on FXN
3. Trump won because of Russian meddling
4. Trump won because he's a racist, and that's what white voters really want"

But none of these stupid excuses withstand scrutiny...."

2. How can we save the US and the middle class?
Tucker believes that the death of the middle class, as seen by family formation and family income distribution changes is the problem to be solved, before the US devolves into Latin America, with only the wealthy and the serfs. A healthy democracy depends on a healthy middle class. From where the US is now it can progress in two directions:
a) It can go from Trump to Maduro, where the serfs want, or demand, more wealth, and socialism seems the quickest way to get it. Seeing the "Green New Deal" this option is now on the table, and Bernie can make it happen.
b) The leaders in government can pass laws to strengthen the middle class by creating better jobs, and taxing the wealthy more, but not excessively more. Control immigration to protect wages. Protect entitlements.

So those are opinions as presented. Is Tucker mostly right? Lets take a poll.
Carlson is a self absorbed asshat who was fired from every job he ever had until he fell into the arms of Murdoch & Co. He's a wealthy punk concerned about one thing- his bank account & screw everyone else. If his so called concern for the middle class wasen't so pathetic it would be laughable.

He shit all over the constitution.

The Union was voluntary before Lincoln came along. Lincoln worked against everything the Framers built.

You know, he was a part of that very early Marxist infiltration. It's a very good topic in itself.

Yes or no

Does the voter elect the leaders and govt??

If so this is a democracy where voters have the real power

Also the voters also control the supremes thru their elected officials who can impeach the supremes

Again this is a democracy

And like the founders said there never was a democracy that didn't commit suicide

They brought restrictions on the democracy. But as we see the restrictions came off by the voters

The restrictions was the unwise could not vote and used a property test to find the wise white male with the wisdom to vote

But that was not strong enough to stop this suicide

Now trump must make high logic tests for voters to stop electing democrat and Rino crooks

Yes or no

Does the voter elect the leaders and govt??

If so this is a democracy where voters have the real power

You're confusing the electoral college with forms of government. You're equating process of governance with form of government. As a consequence you understand neither. There is no yes or no. You need a full reboot, total reeducation, because you clearly don't understand what you're even debating here. And that's okay.

I'll tell you what. It's an important topic. If you wanna move it over to the Bull Ring, I'll discuss it with you there. It's less fragmented that way.

I was supposed to have a one-on-one pow wow with another guy on here last night, but then I looked at his profile and he was a senior, so I decided not.

So, yeah. I feel like the topic needs to be expanded. You wanna? Because I don't really care to make the effort under a Tucker Carlson thread. No. Huh uh.

Wrong you are confusing this

The electoral college is part of the limiting this democracy

Like a ford car.

The ford word limits what brand of car

A red ford car

The word red limits what type of color

It's still a car

Same as this

This is still a democracy where the voter fires the govt and not vice versa

All 3 branches are controlled by the voter

And amendments also controlled by the voter

It's not a wide or immediate democracy since we limit voters to certain timelines

Our founders had the voters to be at least 21

Then voters changed that to 18

See how democracies always commits suicide??

The reason is democracies keeps expanding and people voting their wants instead of needs

Trump is a disaster only to you and your leftist liberal pals and the establishment. The lesson here that we all should have learned by now is that it is the politicians that have created the bloody mess that we the people have to keep trying to clean up. Trump is not the problem, it is liberal/democrats like you and your bull chit that is the problem. What the people need is less politicians and more people like non political people like Trump as President. Your problem is that you cannot see a real leader that is right in front of your eyes. You have been fed so much leftist liberal bull chit all your life by politicians that when a real and true person comes along like Trump you must attack him because you have been trained and conditioned to do so. Try using some common sense and logic for a change rather than emotionalism and creating foolish talk. :abgg2q.jpg:

Oregon is now voting to let 16 yr olds to vote

The voters there can change their laws

America's voting has widened to include the unwise and inexperience a certain way to commit suicide

Oh Barry left Trump a fair hand but Trump has improved on it bigly.

No accounting for Trump hater and his stupidity.

"A fair hand". We'll for the moment ignore all the screaming you people did about the Obama economy being a disaster and congratulate you for being more honest than usual.

Now tell us what Trump did to make the economy better...actual actions.

Certainly not the triffs. They are devastating states like South Dakota.

The tax cuts (while adding almost 2 trillion to the debt) gave the stock market a little sugar high...that has now worn off...

So...what?

This thread has this part!!!

//////

In retrospect, the lesson was "Ignore voters for long enough and you get Donald Trump". Yet the people the message was aimed at never received it. Instead of pausing, listening, thinking, and changing, America's ruling class withdrew. They explained away their loss

///////

This is about voters and a good place to understand voters and how they control the govt

A good place to understand the founders saying all democracies commits suicide

Only one question needs to be answered if this is a democracy is does the voter control all 3 branches of the govt??

Did the voters bring changes to the constitution to at least parts of it

The voters changed the voters age

Some has limits on the voters. Like time lines and not a simple majority but a bigger majority like the veto by the president if the senate does not get 60 votes

But the voter still has control over all 3 branches They can elect enough senators to remove the president and Supreme Court

So yes a democracy this is

A constructional republic democracy

Same as a red ford car

So those are opinions as presented. Is Tucker mostly right? Lets take a poll.

The 2016 election was about Mexicans and Muslims. That's why Trump pounded on them in his candidacy announcement.

There were 16 other Republican candidates. Several of whom are actual conservatives, unlike Trump. Every one of them would have appointed pro-life judges. And at least one knows exactly how to balance the federal budget because he has done it before.

But the Rube Herd went for the huckster. The guy who cheats on all three wives, cheats investors, and cheats senior citizens out of their retirement nest eggs at his fake university. Somehow, these dumb fucks didn't think Trump would cheat them, too.

The wall isn't being built, and our trade deficit with Mexico is skyrocketing. So Mexico isn't going to be paying for the wall.

The deficit has doubled, and Trump has increased spending to the highest government spending in human history. So no balanced budget, no small government. He's bankrupting generations of American taxpayers.

And there is no Obamacare replacement. The biggest hoax of all.

Here's the breakdown on Trump voters:
1. A significant number of Trump voters were voting AGAINST Hillary. My dad is one of them. He hates Trump, but he hated Hillary more. These are the "lesser of two evils" lemmings.
2. A smaller number of Trump voters were giving "The Establishment" the finger. Most Americans know they are being robbed somehow. They don't know how, but they can feel it. And they know the robbery doesn't stop no matter who is in office. So they voted for Trump as a "Fuck You" to the Establishment. Hilariously, they are STILL being ripped off. Trump totally hoaxed them.
3. The final group are the bigots, retards, liars, hypocrites and psychopaths who have hijacked the Republican party. For them, this election was about Mexicans and Muslims, and nothing else. And this contingent is what pushed Trump over the top by the slimmest of margins.

In reverse order:
A. Your 1 and 2 are probably close to true, as for 3, that one is way wrong. Replace your 3 with: union democrats who reject the lefts opposition to pipelines and continued globalization and outsourcing, as well as disgruntled Bernie voters and underemployed who want a better economy. Trump said he would bring back good jobs and he is doing it.

B. The Obamacare mandate is gone. If you want good healthcare insurance get a job. The participation rate is at an all time high.

C. Trump got rolled on the tax cut and defense spending. I'm not a fan of the $900b deficit nor the $22T Debt. Lets hope with the dems doing a 2020 Budget that they raise the top tax rate and implement their "transaction tax" on stock purchases and sales.

D. The wall is being built, mile by mile. By the end of his 1st term Trump will add about 200 miles of new wall. I'd have Mexico pay for the wall by taxing remittances, but that's another issue.
Wall Is Being Built, Mile by Mile, Slowly | National Review
A look at status of Trump's US-Mexico border wall
Secondary border wall construction starts
Here's where the money for Trump's border wall will come from

E. You can whine about Trump's morals, or his politically incorrect attitudes, but what matters to voters is their jobs and standard of living. Under establishment democrats and republicans too many kids were graduating college and living with their parents, BO said that manufacturing jobs weren't coming back, Trump is proving BO wrong.
