President Trump: the first 50 days

The comedy continues and the fake news too. By the way Samsung is a Japanese company when were they ever in the US. So much of the above is BS you know education is a failure for the conservatives in America. For those not brainwashed by right wing media nonsense, check Snopes dot com to verify how much of the OP is lie or exaggeration. Fifty days in, sure thing.

Trump’s Promises to “Take Care” of Inner City and Rural Voters Were a Con

"On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron." H. L. Mencken

Our draft dodger in charge,
Trump Airlines, failed
Trump Casinos, failed
Trump Marriages, failed
Trump Mortgage, failed
Trump University, failed
Trump Vodka, failed
Trump Steaks, failed
Bankruptcies, four so far, draft dodger Trump pays no taxes and cheats on taxes. So remind us again, what makes him such a winner. Oh enjoy supporting his family and him these next four years with your taxes, his one success was bamboozling insecure Americans that he was their savior. Good luck with that too.

Familiar post .. different thread... yawn..

Who's writing this propaganda for you, Nancy or Chucky?

– Hasbro is to start making play-doh in the U.S. again.

U.S. Hasbro, Inc. is returning to the U.S. and will make the beloved children’s modeling clay in a Massachusetts factory rather than in China or Turkey.

And millions of snowflakes are rejoicing!

Nah. All the snowflakes do is try to find something, anything they can pin on Trump.

None of them care about jobs, the debt or anything but their Trumphate.

You can't cure stupid.

So lets get this straight - you want to travel back to his casino disaster in 1991 because of his overwhelming success as president currently? Got it.

Everyone should have access to health care without fear of being bankrupted.
Where is that written?!? Don't you just love how poodle makes up his own version of reality. That is a phenomena unique to his side of the aisle.

The problem with you LiberTARDians is that you think "Freedom" is the ability of those with power and money to abuse those of us who don't.
The problem with left-wing hatriots is that they spend their life playing the victim. Even if what you said were true (and, of course, it is not - it never is), then the onus is on you to become one of those with "power and money".

Generally speaking Trump's first 50 days have been one disaster after another as he learns to be presidential.

But that was no surprise. Everyone expected it pretty much.

For the past week attention has focused on Paul Ryan's ACA modification proposals, which are now viewed to be dead on arrival.

Next week should seem more ACA news, a CBO report, and more antics from the White House.

Republicans brace for gloomy CBO health bill analysis
Well Trump hasn't reduced our credit rating. You know the way Obama did.

Europe has more freedom than we do.
Poodle doing what he always does - trying to lower the bar and drop the U.S. to the level of other nations. Poodle - if Europe is soooo great - why is it your ass has never left for Europe? Or Cuba? Or Canada? Because you know it is a failed ideology when you don't have conservatives to mooch off of.

And don't give me that same old tired line you've been using on this board for year that "you'd rather change it here than move". You clearly can't change it here. That's why the Dumbocrats lost over 1,000 seats since Obama took office, why 33 of the 50 states are now run by Republicans, and why Donald Trump sits in the White House. And why you whine 24x7 like a little bitch.

It's not happening. Time for you to put up or shut up. Walk the walk snowflake. Go live in those other countries and get all of your free healthcare. Otherwise, you're just another typical hatriot hypocrite.

As an average American, I have no right to healthcare but I do have the right to earn healthcare.
By the way there is no way that insurance is healthcare.

And that's where your thinking is effed up.

Everyone should have access to health care without fear of being bankrupted.

The rest of the world figured this out a long time ago.
The rest of the world is in great shape isn't it?

One of the most successful first 50 days of any presidency...

– Trump is already beginning to fulfil his promise of being the best jobs president ever.

U.S. employers added jobs beyond expectations in both January (238,000) and February (235,000), with the unemployment rate falling to 4.7% and wages growing 2.8%. According to Bloomberg, America’s labor market is getting better “by any measure”.

– Trump has cut the U.S. debt burden by $68 billion dollars.

Since the day of his inauguration, Trump has wiped $68 billion off the national debt, which had ballooned to $19,947,000,000,000 under Obama.

– Manufacturing is at its most robust since 1984.

The Philly Fed Index, a survey of how well manufacturers are doing, hit its highest level since 1984.

– Small and medium businesses are confident about the future.

The NFIB Small Business Optimism Index is at its highest level since 2004. Economic confidence is surging.

– The stock market keeps topping record highs.

The Dow closed above 20,000 for the first time ever days after Trump’s inauguration and hasn’t stopped rising since. The Dow has surged more than 2500 points since Trump was elected – a 12% spike.

– Samsung is moving jobs back to the U.S. as a result of Trump’s election.

The technology giant will invest $300 million in expanding U.S. production facilities, creating around 500 jobs.

– Exxon moving jobs back to the U.S. as a result of Trump’s election.

Exxon will spend $20 billion over 10 years on 11 plants along the Gulf Coast, creating a whopping 45,000 jobs for American workers.

– Trump saved the Carrier plant in Indiana.

Trump stopped the Indianapolis air conditioning plant from relocating to Mexico, saving hundreds of jobs.

– Fiat will invest $1 billion in two U.S. factories

Fiat Chrysler is set to invest $1 billion in two factories in Toledo and Detroit, an expansion that will create 2,000 jobs.

– Hasbro is to start making play-doh in the U.S. again.

U.S. Hasbro, Inc. is returning to the U.S. and will make the beloved children’s modeling clay in a Massachusetts factory rather than in China or Turkey.

– Trump signed an executive order ending Obama’s onerous regulations on the coal industry.

Obama tried to bankrupt the coal industry, Trump is revitalizing it.

– Trump killed the Trans Pacific Partnership trade deal.

This would have handed yet more power over to unelected globalists, creating a global regulatory structure detrimental to all Americans.

– Illegal immigration from Mexico is down 40% in Trump’s first month.

Border crossings have already dropped by 40%, according to the DHS as Trump moves forward with his campaign promise to build a wall.

– Trump issued an executive order to end “sanctuary cities”.

Trump has ordered the DOJ and Homeland Security to withhold federal funds from cities that harbor criminal illegal aliens.

– Trump began the repeal and replacement of Obamacare.

Although Speaker Ryan’s Obamacare replacement is being rightly condemned, Trump has at least set in motion the repeal of this disastrous policy which has seen premiums skyrocket and choice diminished.

– Trump selected Neil Gorsuch for the Supreme Court.

Gorsuch is a strict constitutionalist and will defend fundamental freedoms, protecting Americans from the scourge of judicial activism.

– Trump approved the Dakota Access Pipeline and the Keystone Pipeline.

The long awaited approval of these projects will create jobs and reduce gas prices for all Americans.

– Trump cut funding for international abortions.

American taxpayers are no longer paying for babies to be aborted by international non-governmental agencies.

– Trump returned the power to make decisions on “transgender bathrooms” to the states

The president ordered the DOJ to “withdraw a motion filed by former President Barack Obama seeking to allow transgender students in public schools to use the restroom with which they identify.”

Trump and his team have accomplished all of this in just under 50 days, despite the best efforts of the Democrats and the deep state to sabotage his embryonic administration at every stage.

  • President Trump nominated Judge Neil M. Gorsuch to the U.S. Supreme Court because of his consistent record defending the Constitution.

-The fact is that Trump has had no effect on the jobs number. The numbers in June and July will tell the tale especially if he resorts to protectionist trade policies.

-Any changes in the deficit and debt are the result of the last budget deal between Congress and Obama.

-Worth noting that many of the jobs announced were in the works before Trump was elected. Also reshoring has been occurring even when Obama was President.
A Boston Consulting Group report in 2014 showed more manufacturing executives interested in moving back to the US.

"The number of executives who said their companies would "consider" moving production back to the US from overseas in the near future climbed by about 24 percent.

More than half -- 54 percent -- of the respondents said they were interested in reshoring production to the US, roughly the same percentage as a year ago.

More than 70 percent cited better access to skilled labor as a reason to move production to the US, more than four times as many who cited it for moving production away from the US.

For goods that would be sold in the US, nearly 80 percent gave shorter supply chains and reduced shipping costs as a motive for reshoring.

In addition, 71 percent said it was easier to do business in the world's largest economy and about 75 percent said the move provided local control over manufacturing processes and improved quality and yield.

"These findings show that not only does interest in repatriating production to the US and creating American jobs remain strong but also that companies are acting on those intentions," Sirkin said in a statement."

Also worth noting that Trump sycophant Sarah Palin has condemned the Carrier deal as crony capitalism.

-Coal is dying. The reason is that natural gas is cheap and plentiful. Trump cannot do anything about it. Allowing coal waste to get into rivers is hardly onerous.

-Getting rid of the TPP is bad for the US economy

As currently written, very little of it had anything to do with free trade. Many companies were relying on TPP to allow their products into various countries. It should have been re-negotiated.

-Border crossings have been down for years.
Economic conditions in Mexico have improved which takes away the need to go to the US. That is why we should encourage economic growth in Mexico. The wall is a waste of taxpayer money.

-Whether Trump can withhold federal funds will be hashed out in court
The fact is that cities and states are not required to enforce federal immigration law. It seems that Republicans are as bad as Democrats. For years Democrats forced states and municipalities to do certain things. Now Trump is doing the same thing. Trump's record in court is not too good.

-Any number of Republicans would have moved to repeal and replace Obamacare
The fact is that he is backing Obamacare lite. It will lead to more people being uninsured and those costs will be passed on those who have insurance.

His other achievements

-Getting rid of all regulation
The fact is that there are bad regulations and some need to be gotten rid of. Others are common sense and should be kept. Among those:
Allowing financial advisors to fleece their customers
The rule would have required financial advisors to act in the best interests of their clients. Too many financial advisors will put their clients into funds with high fees and low returns and receive a commission from the fund. A doctor has to act in the best interests of their clients, lawyers have to do the same.
Requiring companies to report payments to foreign governments
This came about as a tool against bribery. The fact is that companies have records of all payments anyway so the argument that it would cost money is ridiculous
Allowing airlines to fleece customers with hidden fees
The rule would have required more disclosure of fees that are associated with cheap airfares
-Transgender bathrooms
He has returned power to the states but that leads to blackmail of states by businesses and related organizations. In the NCAA basketball tournament Duke is a number 2 seed and playing in SC because of NC's law on transgender bathrooms. Trump has also not issued a executive order on religious freedom. A President can use executive orders or even use the bully pulpit yet Trump has not done so.

Thank you for illustrating your astounding ignorance. No, a president cannot use an Executive Order to create, alter, or abolish law. Like all hatriots, you literally have no idea why Executive Orders exist. You think they are a power for the president. They are not.

A legal, constitutional Executive Order is nothing more than a glorified "memo". Just as a boss in a business would issues memos to his subordinates, so too does the president. And his subordinates are those in the executive branch only. Which means if he were to issue an Executive Order regarding bathrooms, it would be to tell members of the executive branch (the department of defense, the department of justice, etc.) that they must use the correct bathroom. It would have zero legal affect on the judicial branch, the legislative branch, or the American people.

Once again - I thank you for illustrating your supreme ignorance to the USMB community. Now they know to ignore you.

I'm sorry - do you have a point here? There is no "blackmail". States have a constitutional right to make these choices for themselves and businesses have the right to decide which states they want to conduct commerce in.

This insanely stupid post wreaks of desperation to find something negative about the resounding success of the Trump Administration in their first 50 days.

-The fact is that Trump has had no effect on the jobs number.
The fact is - he has had an enormous effect on the economy. Just his election in November - 3 months before taking office - caused the stock market to skyrocket. Investors were excited that the future would no longer have a marxist like Obama taking their money and redistributing it to other people who did nothing to earn it. President Trump additionally had a very positive affect on the economy by rolling back the stifling and idiotic regulations illegally imposed on businesses by Obama through Executive Orders.

All of this has resulted in a solid economy thanks to President Trump.

You are illustrating your colossal ignorance. Typical of a Trump Davidian.

Trump issued a executive order on Dodd-Frank which is a statute. The IRS is not requiring taxpayers to prove they have insurance despite the fact that it is a statute. That has never stopped Trump. A executive order was apparently prepared regarding religious freedom but was never released. That as one of his promises.

Your list gives credit to Trump for some things that have been happening for years or occurred under Obama.

Thank you for demonstrating you are a Trump Davidian. Now we know to ignore you.

Trump issued a executive order on Dodd-Frank which is a statute.
First of all sparky - where is your link to this and subsequent facts about it? Don't have any? Yeah - didn't think so. Second of all, even if this is true, what does it have to do with your complete and total lack of knowledge about what an Executive Order actually is? Don't try to change the subject in an attempt to distract from your ignorance.

Maybe Trump did issue an unconstitutional executive order - doesn't change the fact that you had no idea what they actually are and that you were advocating for him to use them illegally.

Why would the stock market not go up? All businesses have to do is call and any regulation goes away. Some Obama era regulation should be scrapped however some are no-brainers. Preventing coal producers to pollute rivers is necessary. Preventing financial advisors from feathering their nest at their clients' expense is necessary. Providing more information to consumers regarding hidden fees in cheap airfares is necessary. We now have Republicans preparing a bill that would require workers to undergo genetic testing. Clearly the little people are being screwed. What we have is over-regulation under Obama and under-regulation by Trump.

Again many manufacturers were moving back to this country even when Obama was President. The country has many advantages that even Obama cannot destroy.

Why would the stock market not go up? All businesses have to do is call and any regulation goes away.
Bingo! It's nice to see you get it. Obama did everything in his power to destroy industry and funnel money to his pals in the failed "green" sector. President Trump is simply freeing up the markets and allowing them to succeed or fail based on their own merits. And that creates opportunity, innovation, wealth, jobs, etc.
