Presidential Immunity

If Presidential immunity were part of the Constitution, impeachment would be an oxymoron. Obviously, the original intent was that the highest office be subject to law as with any other citizen. As with almost everything he is involved in, Trump creates a fog of dissimulation and then proceeds to do whatever he wishes while everyone scrambles to sort it out.

Trump was president, Pence, Biden and the Beast were not. There are some words you don't want to misspell, LOL.

Trump was not President when the search warrant was served ... Bubba didn't finish Middle School ...

Trump was not President when the search warrant was served ... Bubba didn't finish Middle School ... have mommy show you a "calendar" ...

Bush and those who joined him in voting for an illegal invasion could well be tried for war crimes. That includes all those in Congress who thus violated the Constitution.

The question would be….Was the invasion because of a lie that Bush knew not to be true.
If he invented WMDs in order to justify an invasion, he should be liable.

If Congress is told a lie and follows it, they are not liable

You mean trying to influence a lawful election while still President?
Elections are run by states. What is an official act of a President in a state certified election?
Is fake electors an official act?
Is trying to influence local officials an official act?
Trying to get elected is not an official act of a President

I notice you realize you can't claim interference or some other illegal thing, and have to use the term "influence"

Lot's of deflecting in attempting to not answer a simple set of questions.

A jury will decide that
The question is …..Does Trump have immunity for those acts that were not official acts

An election is not an official act of a President

No, the invasion was illegal by international law. The treaties were approved by Congress, thus giving those treaties Constitutional authority. The invasion was a high crime, and all who voted for it (the vast majority of whom were lawyers!) literally traitors to the U.S. The the Bush League knew the information was false only worsens the crime, if that were possible.

He was acting as President. Again, they impeached him, he was not removed, so that part of the process takes care of his "Accountability" to the law.

No…..campaigning for office is a personal act, not an official presidential act

Justice Kagan asked a key question concerning Trump's attempt to escape justice regarding the intent of the Founding Fathers:

Wasn't the whole point that the president was not a monarch,
and the president was not supposed to be above the law?"

If the Supreme Court rules that a president is immune to criminal prosecution, does that mean that Biden could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot Trump?

I am not an expert but seems the court on immunity is not going well. More concern from conservative justices over inconveniencing Trump than protecting democracy.
I think they are willing to gum up the works to further delay the trial

Trump is being prosecuted for election interference while he was President
A President has no role in a Georgia election or any state run election

you were talking about campaigning, the campaign was over at that point, wasn't it?

No credible evidence. No challenges or appeals anywhere in the nation. The certified election stands.

"credible" weasel word used as a weasel word.

Plenty of people think something stunk.

The election stands, the questions remain despite your ostrich like attempt and throwing your head in the sand.
