This might be the reason for enforcing a TEMPORARY ban on people from those countries. It allows the new Administration to devise a way to vet people while the flow of refugees is stopped from these countries. I do believe we plan on taking in a limit of 50K people per year, this seems more than reasonable considering they need to assimilate to a completely foreign culture.

If the extra time and inconvenience for one person saves someone elses life, then it was worth it. Seems to me as President, its a good move to assess the vetting process and process of assimilation while everything is stopped. It's his primary job to protect US citizens, other international agreements are secondary, so I'm willing to give Trump a 90 day trial period on this. How stringent is the system really? considering whatever happens now will on Trump's watch, it's best to let the new team decide. Its kind of hard to go back after you let in 10s of thousands.

Sanger, Woodrow Wilson and many other prominent progressives were for eugenics. Eugenics were founded by Frances Galton the cousin of Charles Darwin. As America practiced eugenics in the early 1900's it wasn't until WWII that Hitler, who got the idea from progressives started implementing the practice against Jews and others.

In fact what I see is the opposite ---- it used to be people with birth defects, mental illness, physical deformities and such, were hidden away, locked up, lobotomized, and mocked as 'inferiors'. Now we bend over backward to accommodate wheelchairs, integrate the mentally challenged, provide sign language, etc etc. The only mocking left is when Donald Rump ridicules a reporter with a muscular disability. That's why he took so much heat for it --- it rubs the modern culture the wrong way. We like to think we grew past that point but clearly not all of us did.

Slavery of course is thousands of years old, happened worldwide on every continent and was here long long before there was a country or any political parties, even in the unique form it took in the Americas where Europeans would bring them across the ocean beginning nearly five hundred years ago. Moreover it was employed even more in the Caribbean and Brazil, where I'm pretty sure they don't have "Democrats" either.

Four of our first five Presidents were slaveholders; none were Democrats since they did not yet exist. Martin van Buren, the guy who organized the Andrew Jackson faction into the Democratic Party and got it running as such, was an abolitionist.

Segregation, and racism in general, came with that practice as its legacy, and was (again) spread all over the country long before a nation or any political party existed --- and still exists, here, in other parts of the Americas, and elsewhere in the world. I saw it happen in France. Pretty sure they don't have les Democrates in France. "Jim Crow" was of course local and state actions, not a political party.

And the one of these I happen to know the best, the Klan, wasn't even political nor was it founded by anyone (either time) who had any known political activities or associations. We know much else about them but we have no such political indications.

The poster here is engaging in juvenile binary-bot imagery where everything in the world gets conveniently shoved into one of two boxes, the good angels and the evil devils, the old "us" and "them" mentality, which requires in this case that everything that ever happened must be defined in his childish terms of either "Democrat" or "Republican" --- even if neither of them existed yet. It's a crutch employed by the intellectually slothful who can't be bothered with botherations like "thought" or "research". Rather, he just makes up whatever feels good in the moment, oblivious to the fact that it can't be supported, just because it feels good. In effect masturbation using a computer keyboard. He's getting his Eliminationist-Porn on.

That's at base what this is about ---- Eliminationism. Sticking everything into two handy little boxes and then demonizing one of them, declaring it must be not observed, considered or negotiated with but outright eliminated so that he can have his childlike world in one convenient box with no challenges to it and he isn't required to think. That's all this type of shit is.

And this is a lie........Trump did not make fun of the reporter's disability...since the guys disability was his hand, which is immobile.....and the fact that Trump made fun of Ted Cruz and several others with the exact same body language, and you know this, makes you a liar.

Rump mocked the reporter, mocked Carly Fiorina, mocked Marco Rubio, mocked Ted Cruz, mocked Jeb Bush, mocked Hillary Clinton, mocked the Chinese, mocked Megyn Kelly, mocked everybody. Because he's a fucking child who has never matured beyond age nine.
