Every single illegal child in our schools costs not JUST what an native born American child costs, but more. You understand that, right? Free meals. Social work. Typically, English as a Second Language, which schools are lawfully required to offer, and often in uncommon languages.

How does this lead to "increasing prosperity", when our own often disadvantaged students are LESS advantaged because illegal, non-taxpaying parents are filling up schools with their children?

I don't expect a rational answer, because there's not one.

School districts spend much more money on disabled children who will never produce anything economically than they do on English as Second Language Children who eventually will.

and your side is perfectly fine with schools in poor neighborhoods remaining poor quality, as long as the white kids are in suburban schools.

The problem is, we have a labor participation rate of 63% now. The highest it has ever been is 67%. The rest are stay at home spouses, students, and the retired. you could tighten up on disability and other forms of assistance, but that just isn't going to move the needle. We currently have people retiring from the workforce faster than new people can replace them.

Low wages are caused by the greed of the rich. That's not going to change.

What is going to change is why we have high inflation now. Because we have a labor shortage, and employers are having to offer high wages for jobs that may not even merit them.

For instance, McDonald's is paying crew members $13.87 currently, well above the minimum wage, and they STILL can't find enough warm bodies to staff their stores.

Remove five million or so undocumented workers from the pool, and that problem just gets worse.
