R N C Votes to Boycott CNN/NBC Over Hillary Film

I saw how the RNC took their ball and went home in the news yesterday. Crybabies. They make a film about Hillary and its distribution is about constitutional principles BUT when one is produced by a non- kool aid drinking rw tool then its just bad for merka

So choosing not to work with networks that you feel are throwing their support behind your opposition is declaring war on the media? If we accept that logic then of course the Democrats have been at war with FOX News for at least ten years now.

How do Republicans think they can dictate what content NBC entertainment can show?

have they gotten that arrogant?
Again, they're dictating nothing. It's a simple proposition: If you give Hillary a two-hour political commercial, we're not having our debates on your network.

You never answered the question: Why are NBC and CNN entitled to host the GOP debates, even if the GOP doesn't want to appear on those networks?

Why can't you do a movie about a former First Lady and Secretary of State?

Its going to be all about blowjobs and GOP overreaction anyway

A topic Hillary would just as soon avoid

RNC strong arming and blackmail tactics are clearly 'freedom of choice'

:)

It is. It's their choice.

Anyone who wants to see the debates can watch them on another channel. If someone doesn't want to watch the debates they can see the programming on CNN and NBC.

strong arming and blackmailing...

how so frikken pathetic...it's their choice where and who they want for the debates..

you frekking liberal control freaks don't get to chose it, but let your shitty opinions, insults, and just plain stupid fly

you all don't like? tough shit...go back to bitching about Fox news

Not doing anything of the sort, they are making a stand. NBC and CNN are free to do what they want and the GOP is free to do what they want.both choices will have consequences, it's just that you don't like the GOP forcing a hand.

They can do what they want, it's a freedom and when they exercise their freedom others get to make their choice.

Since no one else seems to be able or willing to answer the question, why are NBC and CNN entitled to host the GOP debates?

You and the others seem to believe the GOP owes them. Explain it.

Ronald Reagan would laugh at today's Republicans

What a bunch of pussies

Unsurprisingly, you run away from the question.

Why are NBC and CNN entitled to host the GOP debates, even if the GOP doesn't want to appear on those networks?

I find Democrats very hypocritical.

It's okay for the debates to boycott FOX, it's okay to boycott sponsors of Hannity and Limbaugh.

But a threatened boycott of one of their liberal outlets and they throw a temper tantrum.

Where has the DNC boycotted or threatened anyone?

The Dems' Florida Boycott Heats Up - TIME

I hate the liberals game...they just all of a sudden forget everything the Democrats have done...

Yep. Restricting their debate to a network that the owner changed his citizenship in favor of profit-making. The other owner is ?Arab BTW ;)

They might as well have Bill Kristol (Fox news shill) *cough* "moderate" it.

Practising ones right to freedom of choice.

That is enough for a liberal fanatic to attack

Note how liberals are angered by choice, wish to eradicate choice.

Be aware.

It's so cute when they are so desperate they have to dredge up the name of a man they hate...to try and shame the opposition into silence too.

Funny how it was okay for the Dems to have a company that found a way to pay no taxes even though they had huge profits, oh wait they used a network for Democratic propaganda, that is okay. I am right, you are okay with huge corporations paying zero taxes?

Hmmmmm, since CNN and NBC have a tiny audience share, and the only people who watch them are failed leftists--------------yeah, great for the dems, they can preach their bullshit to their mental slaves while the rest of the country gets to hear both sides. :eusa_whistle:

NBC is bigger than Fox........MUCH bigger audience

not according to Drudge, when he posts the monthly ratings report, Fox usually holds the top 5 or 6 spots, therefore i respectfully request you prove your ASSumption......., OK?

One is cable and one is broadcast...no comparison in numbers of homes serviced. If you count MSNBC, CNBC, Telemundo, and a few other NBC Universal properties, NBC has a much larger footprint than Fox does. Of course you could also say the same thing about the Fox network on broadcast TV but they are not using it for news broadcast. Simple arithmetic; NBC has 4 platforms, Fox has 1 for regular news.

But this isn't about viewership or platforms; what it is about is the Fox viewership vs. the viewership of other, more open-minded consumers. Basically, the GOP has determined it will preach to the choir instead of trying to get new converts. When you're in the public relations business (which in essence that is what campaigning is all about), you're fundamentally sabotaging yourself when you refuse to relate to a segment of the public.

Where the GOP may get an advantage--and this is a big "may"--is that since scenes like this regretful exchange won't be on televisions across the nation, the negatives won't build up too far in advance:

This happened on FOX but it could have just as easily been CNN.

Possibly the nail in the GOP coffin for 2012 was driven at that moment. Every nano-second of these debates will be analyzed by the DNC so there won't be any long term benefit to not publicizing gaffes like you see above.

Anyway, this won't be on CNN or NBC. If there actually was a "liberal media" out there, don't you think that CBS and ABC would have Hillary projects in the works tomorrow just to force the GOP into an even more marginal existence?

Some day these rednecks will either run out of bullets or toes...it will be fun to watch which supply depletes first.
