Rabbis forced the Romans to crucify Jesus

Jews were given a special commission, to be a people set apart. What could go wrong with that?
And they failed
WHY THEY WERE CHOSEN
(Deu 7:6 KJV) For thou art a holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.

(Deu 7:7 KJV) The LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people:

(Deu 7:8 KJV) But because the LORD loved you,,.,.,.,.,..,.
(Deu 7:12 KJV) Wherefore it shall come to pass
, if ye hearken to these judgments, and keep, and do them, that the LORD thy God shall keep unto thee the covenant and the mercy which he swore unto thy fathers:

(Deu 7:13 KJV) And he will love thee, and bless thee, and multiply thee: he will also bless the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy land, thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil, the increase of thy kin, and the flocks of thy sheep, in the land which he sware unto thy fathers to give thee.

(Lev 19:34 KJV) But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God

They were chosen to show us the way, to show us how to treat the stranger, how to be compassionate and loving to your neighbor and by doing so peace would envelop the world.

(Mal 3:5 KJV) And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger from his right, and fear not me, saith the LORD of hosts.

(Deu 1:16 KJV) And I charged your judges at that time, saying, Hear the causes between your brethren, and judge righteously between every man and his brother, and the stranger that is with him.

(Deu 24:19 KJV) When thou cuttest down thine harvest in thy field, and hast forgot a sheaf in the field, thou shalt not go again to fetch it: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow: that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hands.

(Deu 24:20 KJV) When thou beatest thine olive tree, thou shalt not go over the boughs again: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow.

(Deu 24:21 KJV) When thou gatherest the grapes of thy vineyard, thou shalt not glean it afterward: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow

(Ezek 22:7 KJV) In thee have they set light by father and mother: in the midst of thee have they dealt by oppression with the stranger: in thee have they vexed the fatherless and the widow.

(Exo 22:21 KJV) Thou shalt neither vex a stranger, nor oppress him: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.

(Exo 23:9 KJV) Also thou shalt not oppress a stranger: for ye know the heart of a stranger, seeing ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.

(Lev 19:34 KJV) But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.

(Lev 25:35 KJV) And if thy brother be waxen poor, and fallen in decay with thee; then thou shalt relieve him: yea, though he be a stranger, or a sojourner; that he may live with thee.

(Jer 14:8 KJV) O the hope of Israel, the saviour thereof in time of trouble, why shouldest thou be as a stranger in the land, and as a wayfaring man that turneth aside to tarry for a night?

(Ezek 36:17 KJV) Son of man, when the house of Israel dwelt in their own land, they defiled it by their ..own way and by their doings: their way was before me as the uncleanness of a removed woman.

(Ezek 36:18 KJV) Wherefore I poured my fury upon them for the blood that they had shed upon the land, and for their idols wherewith they had polluted it.

(Ezek 36:22 KJV) Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name's sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went.

(Ezek 36:24 KJV) For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.

(Ezek 36:31 KJV) Then shall ye remember your own evil ways, and your doings that were not good, and shall loathe yourselves in your own sight for your iniquities and for your abominations.

(Ezek 36:32 KJV) Not for your sakes do I this, saith the Lord GOD, be it known unto you: be ashamed and confounded for your own ways, O house of Israel.

(Ezekiel 21:32 (ASV) Thou shalt be for fuel to the fire; thy blood shall be in the midst of the land; thou shalt be no more remembered: for I, Jehovah, have spoken it.

going, going, gone
But they are not all lost,

If they repent
If they ask the Lord for His forgiveness
If they embrace the stranger as one of their own
The Lord will forgive them

Churches are also hiring security.
Most churches don't. most churches don't HAVE to. We do. Remember that I'm in Canada. Churches don't hire security because of the possibility of an active shooter. Synagogues do because of the high probability of an attack.

Yup. Some Jews in ancient times were really awful.

All your quotes are basically saying that bad people will be held accountable for their evil ways. That sounds fair to me. Much more fair than thinking another person ”takes away” your sins and thus the antisemites on this thread feel comfortable spewing their venom toward Jewish people.

I say...

God has an everlasting covenant with the Jews that Jews are keeping. It seems a failing of mankind to point to the failures of others and dismiss the success. In his own time Jesus was broadcasting to the Jews, Sins are forgiven!

As a Christian I have the unshakeable belief that we, too, are grafted into an everlasting covenant with God. As a Catholic, I see the same is happening to the early Church (which was Catholic) as what is happening to Jews who are steadfastly keeping their covenant: Outsiders digging up failures, apparently hoping to dishearten people of the covenants. They may wish to review what the Bible says about God's work with the remnant.

God is good and Good prevails.

Keep in mind Catholic Christians, and probably some non-Catholic sects as well, hold to Repentance for the forgiveness of sins. We believe that Christ came to proclaim our reconciliation/redemption with God when we turn towards God, not away from Him. Redemption/salvation for a great many of us is a way of life, not a once and done.

He used the word 'Repentance'. Kingdom Living (discerning the will of God and following it) is The Way.
I have no idea what that means. Forgiveness of sin is a covenant relationship between Christ and the REPENTANT follower. There can be no forgiveness without your part -- repentance

:) It means we are agreeing. I simply added that The Way (or the Path) also entails discerning the will of God and following it. I need to remember no one can tell that I am often nodding while I type.

Is there a reason you cannot discuss Jesus and his times? After all, this thread is about Rabbis, Rome, and crucifixions. Why the need to jump nearly two thousand years forward into the Catholic Church and Nazism?

Tell us why Caiaphas and Annas were the best high priests for their time and deserve to be recognized as such. That keeps us focused on the time of Biblical rabbis, Rome, and crucifixions.
they were ROMAN appontees----not "biblica rabbis" as your jelly beans sluts claimed

But as you yourself have noted, Gd has a separate and enduring covenant with the Jewish people. To us, Jesus is a “middle man.” We do not need to go through anyone to get to Gd.

Also, as far as redemption, Gd has the power to redeem and forgive, and He does if we feel remorse for our sins, ask for forgiveness, vow not to repeat it, and do a form of tzedakah related to it somehow. That is the Jewish teaching. I’m biased, of course, but I think that is a better way to be held accountable, and seek forgiveness, for the wrongs we do.

As I’ve said many times, there are numerous paths to Gd. Christians have their way. Jews have theirs. The only problem from my end is when Christians (not you, but many others on this site) lambast Jews with how they are wrong and will be damned by Gd unless they follow the Christian path. My theory is that they are so convinced that their belief in Jesus will “save” them from sin that they just go full steam ahead, demonizing and mocking and condemning Jews to their hearts’ content.

How do you believe we go through Jesus?
