You apparently don't understand the concept of "for profit motive". That's why our healthcare has always been a complete joke. You can complain all you want about ObamaCare. It wouldn't change the fact that healthcare system has always been unaffordable to the poor and shrinking middle class.

I do understand the the concept, the issue here is that YOU don't. With profit as a motive, goods and services become inherently better and more affordable, entirely because they want money. A lot of the confusion from the left comes from the fact that they don't understand how the economy works. A business exists to fulfill a demand, and as that demand is fulfilled, and demand grows, that business grows. With the existence of competition, a a business has to satisfy or lose its customers, which causes them to provide the best product or service at the best price. That's why the private sector is better in every way at providing a service, because they have motivation to do so, and that motivation is money. The government already makes money off of the people in the form of taxes, they therefor have no reason to provide a good product at a reasonable price. You can't switch, because they become a monopoly, and even if you could, you'd still be paying for it.

As far as the shrinking middle class goes, I imagine there would be fewer poor people if your party would stop providing incentive to be poor. Those who are poor put themselves there, and they deserve to be there because of that, and because they refuse to pull themselves back up. If you want to help the poor so much, give them jobs, and stop using Federal Aid to shrink their wages.

Okay stop pretending the private sector is the key to any program'a success. The for profit motive fails at programs meant for the population at large. Another competing business having lower costs and a better product stealing all of their customers? Competition beyond state lines would have been an unregulated capitalist healthcare system, and would have results in people getting the lowest cost and best product, because that's how capitalism works.

No that'a a load of shit. It's not like you can even point to any actual regulations that somehow didn't allow these insurance companies to "compete". Christ it's illegal for Medicare to negotiate lower prices with drug companies. There is no evidence that increasing competition between these corporations would significantly lower costs anyway. Sure it sounds good to suggest that, but just because something sounds like it makes sense it doesn't mean it has basis in reality.

Yes obviously increasing competition lowers prices in general, but that doesn't mean the increase in competition would be even nearly enough to make healthcare more affordable for the poor. Where is the viability in even trying this strategy for the industry? Christ if a insurance company wanted to, they could drastically lower their prices to make their care more affordable but they don't do they? It's because they already make a killing off of the prices they have now.

If a price is lowered, it's obviously more affordable to everyone. Businesses exist to make the owner money. If they don't make money, there's no reason for that business to exist. Naturally, if someone has literally no money, they can't afford anything. That's what charity is for, and programs to get them interviews. If they can't pull themselves up in a capitalist system, it's their own fault.

Again, they exist to make money, hence everything having a price. It's called making a living.
