You do realize that the democrats fought the civil rights movement all the way up to the point where they had completely lost...and then changed tactics to keep their political power...right...the republicans voted for the civil rights acts while the racist democrats voted against them...including j. william fulbright, the racist democrat segregationist and good friend and political mentor to bill clinton, the violent racist, who gave the vile racist fulbright the Presidential Medal of Freedom and dedicated a statue to him.....

Given the fact that racists and bigots in general find refuge among the ranks of republicans, conservatives, libertarians, the TPM, and other manifestations of the right, it's incumbent upon you and other conservatives to indeed do something about the problem of racism, and not allow those racists around you – racists who for the most part identify as conservative and vote republican – to get away with seeking to propagate their racism in the name of the GOP and conservatism.
